I have been looking for a cafe near to my home and luckily found this spot. Their chicken club sandwich couple with americano is amazing. My better half tried their almond croissant and latte - she loved it. Must try!Food: 5/5
SF Vanilla latte was okay, and the butter tarts were expensive for something not so special, but their atmosphere is amazing with tons of setting inside and outside. The music playing was very calming and added to the vibeFood: 4/5
I've always driven along Kingston to and from Downtown and seen this place. It was nice to finally see what the summertime lineups outside were worth. Great coffee and a very nice atmosphere. Great spot to keep warm in the winter. Excited to be back for some ice cream in the summer.
Very cute and pretty fancy upscale coffee shop. Tables are quartz and close together but there’s a decent amount of seating so we found a place for two ok. The drip coffee was good and so was a cappuccino. They’ve got a nice outdoor seating area as well which I’m sure it’s nice in the warmer months. We’ll be back to try some of their other menu items…
The Birchcliff is a beautiful cafe that's relatively close to the downtown area but is located in scarborough. It's very beautiful on the inside and is thoroughly decorated. The cappuccino i got was very flavourful and bold. Definitely should give it a try if you're looking for a specialty coffee shop. Could get fairly busy at times with the weekend crowds. And i found that parking is very limited, which is the only downside.
Great cafe in Scarborough with lots of outdoor space, the inside is cozily decorated, and they have a decent sized menu for the location. I do wish they had at least one or two nut free options for those who are allergic. Otherwise, fantastic little cafe! Parking: No spots for cars unless street parking limited to 1 hour. I was able to squeeze my motorcycle in however.
I was there last weekend. I love the ambiance with green sofa, white chairs inside and patio with green plants and brown table and chairs. I was looking for a place with good latte art and I found that in The Birchcliff. The art was excellent. I won’t say the taste of Macha latte was excellent, but it was ok. I don’t recommend the egg salad sandwich I bought. It has a bad smell. I don’t know if it was for expired ingredients or they used something that smell bad. I read the review before that their breakfast is not that great. I won’t try their breakfast next time. I would say you must try if you like a cafe in a quiet neighbourhood. There is limited street parking. You can park in a neighbourhood and walk. There is one bus stop right by the cafe. I love to go back again.
I have been living in the neighbourhood for 6+ years. This was the first time I tried this cafe. I was floored by the quality and assortment of food. Loved the pumpkin cold foam! A must have! Apple crumble croissant was the best croissant I ever had. It’s a little gem and I hope they get the love and support they deserve.
The bathrooms here are pretty disgusting and it makes me wonder about how clean they keep other areas that patrons don’t see. Dust and grime everywhere. Tables weren’t cleaned in a timely manner, we went to sit down but the table was covered in crumbs, so we chose a different seat. The entire time we were there no one cleaned up the table next to us despite it not being very busy. Had a delicious latte here, the price was steep compared to other places, but I would order it again. To-go because it just didn’t feel very clean inside.
Nice coffee, a very good almond croissant. Staff is friendly. Some days only one staff so there could be a line up. I would definitely keep going , I want to try more pastries and other coffees . It’d definitely a neighborhood joint. It’s very cozy inside . There is patio and outside seating as well . They always have a water bowl outside for your dogs .
