Fairbanks oldest bar, and popular. Unpretentious. Cash only. Local Alaskan beers as well as all the macros. No food, but you can have yours delivered. Bands on weekends. Sometimes a cover depending on the event. Pull-tabs available (similar to scratch-off lottery tickets). Uber friendly.

For a Guinness fan, this is THE place to go in Fairbanks for a perfect pull. Met an old friend there and had a great time at the bar. Lot of history in the old building, barely escaping the bridge remodel a few years back. Too bad they went the no smoking route but wouldnt stop me from going.

A lot of people in and out in a very small town. Military people in droves. Courtesy police make regular check. You'll hear a lot of the same songs over. If you pay for your song to be okay immediately next it deletes the song previously queued on the jukebox. Good drinks all around

When it's busy the place is super crowded. Lots of tables and chairs kind of in the way. Drinks are CASH ONLY (Not sure if this is because I was here on new year's eve or if it's a regular thing, but there is an ATM inside which makes me think that it is.) Owner is a nice guy and offered us champagne on the house to toast to. Has a hometown dive bar feel. Overall, not hugely impressed but not a bad spot to get a brew.

The drinks were not the best (according to those drinking) but they were nice. Unfortunately it seems the staff might have been a bit newer so things were a bit slower. Still worth a visit, especially since it's such a history icon in downtown Fairbanks
