a Lamborghini of Toronto Beer Stores. it is not a very visible location, I've been passing by Distillery so many times and noticed it fairly recently apparently the store was there for 10 years! a good selection of Ontario craft. self serve so you can browse and compare. also many non-alcoholic beers to chose from - both craft and big brand names. big windows and lots of light. I really recommend this store. especially convenient for those running errands on bicycles - numerous Toronto bike rings right outside the store.
The checkout man with ear piercing took away the beer I was about to pay and told me to "get out" because my two 9 lbs dogs were tied outside of the store entrance. I was so stunned by his behaviour, froze for a few seconds. Is this how you treat customers?
I went there today. The overly chipper female clerk followed me right to the back of the store, making noises asking if "she can help me find anything", etc. I felt like I was being stalked. If the customer is walking away that's a good clue to stop following them. It was like dealing with a chipmunk. When I went to pay she gave a spiel along the lines of "whenever you'd like to swipe your card we'd be more than happy to process your payment for you" in a horribly squeaky tone of voice. They've hired the wrong person for the job. She'd be better off in The Disney Store.
For a place with the name "Beer Store" I was sorely unimpressed with the collection of beers offered for sale. Perhaps I am being unfair to compare against places in my hometown of Boston, MA, but it felt like what they sold was the standard massed produced fare that is exactly what I am not looking for. Even the local breweries feel under represented, which should be a cardinal sin, along with a smattering of out of providence breweries. With so much wonderful breweries here in Canada, I felt there was so much more that could be been done. An update to my review: Turns out the corporate owners of The Beer Store are the major breweries. So of course you will only see their offerings. Also, Ontario has some laws on the books which make selling beer difficult, although as I understand it, the rules are going to change.
Very rude woman is working there to make customers get mad. I was looking around the beers and she said only ppl who know what to get need to be here because of covid situation. i was there less than 3 mins total and this became very unpleasant experience. i will not go back to this store again.
Good selection of beer, but smaller than other Beer Store locations. Also, they don't and can't carry cider beer due to a restriction in what they're allowed to sell.
Lady below! Get a life Service here is always great including the lady you're talking about. I go there twice a week and the staff couldn't be more helpful. . We also live in the area.
Good selection of local beers and from around the world. A bit pricey. Checkout guy not so friendly.
The staff here are top shelf. In summer the coldest beer
Very disappointed by « boutique » location such as this one as they are not recycling. That is not sending the right message to the neighborhood. I hope you’ll change soon. Not coming back there until you do.
