The Bedford Academy is a gracious former residence that has been pain stakingly restored over the years. Not your average pub the Academy is known for having a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with local and internationally inspired food and beverages.

Yesterday was our first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the great cuisine and booze and with the comfortable price. We will no doubt return there soon.
A favourite hangout for our former University of Toronto classmates. Offers the standard pub grub. Service is always fast and friendly. The Bedford is great for groups. There's patio seating out front and near the back. We always have a good time here.
Reviewing for brunch only: having lived in this neighbourhood and tried out almost every brunch spot within walking distance, Bedford is the best spot for locals. It's casual, very reasonably priced $12-14 per plate, has good food, and very large portions! The service is great too. It never disappoints.
Quiet place to enjoy a family Brunch. The biscuits are delicious and served warm with little pots of honey and butter. Coffee is good. Other Brunch choices are available if more food is desired.
This is our regular spot for Friday beers. They have a good selection of beers and other libations and non-alcoholic drinks. Good pub food. We usually get sweet potato fries but occasionally someone will have dinner which is good too.
