Y’all know I like to taste good food. This place delivered. Drinks were amazing and my sweet potato burger hit the spot. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place that offers a good lighter meal. This place has choices and I appreciate that.Recommended dishesMozzarella Sticks
I went with my family and was seated quickly on a Tuesday night. Our food overall was pretty good! We liked the cauliflower appetizer and the burgers. However, I got the shrimp Po boy and was disappointed to see it only had 4 medium shrimp on it. It was incredibly dry and overpriced at $15
The Bay Restaurant is a sure win when you swing on by. My favorite Hour is Happy Hour and they've got fantastic cocktails with great food; what more could you ask for?!!!! When you step in ask for Sally and tell her Molly sent you.
Went here with my wife and daughter. The food was great. The pasta dish, like a Cajun Mac and cheese with peppers, olives, and chicken was absolutely delicious. The ingredients sound like an odd combination but the taste was amazing. Service was good. My only complaints: the tap selection was seriously lacking. And when I got my bill, there was a "bar tax". What the hell is a bar tax? I've never seen this on a dining bill before. I'd have given this place a higher rating had they disclosed the additional tax up front, and had a better drink selection.
Met up with friends for a quick drink during their Power Hour. Friendly service, clean and fun atmosphere. Lastly, the establishment offers a great food menu, so book a reservation, grab some friends and enjoy their delicious take on modern American food. Located right on the main strip, great vibes for this town located on the periphery of Milwaukee. Cheers!!!!
This was a surprise to me. I expected just run-if-the-milk burgers, etc. The food is great! The menu changes at times, and the cocktails are fantastic! Best old-fashioned I have had since I was running around the east side in the 70’s.
Went in with a life long friend who is black and ACTUALLY warned me he’d be profiled. He was moving out of town the next day and we were both tired from work. I kinda scoffed at his concern. We went in and sat at the bar and ordered some apps. Rib tips and crab cakes. They were fair. A bartender by the name of Kevin had to be flagged down just to order a drink while he doted on others. We reluctantly ordered dinner as Kevin HONESTLY made us feel like we were a bother. He never cleared our plates while he quickly cleared everybody else’s. Literally a clear and clean bar except for in front of us for 20-25 minutes. He was also an eye roller when we asked for another drink and BLATANTLY took his time. It was so obvious that I finally said Kevin, why haven’t you cleared our plates or gotten us another drink? He said, as god as my witness, “because I thought you should save your forks.” Here’s the deal… we grew up in Mequon and are educated. We work hard and understand privilege and also the struggles of racism etc. My jaw was on the ground watching the way Kevin performed. I actually told Kevin he was bad for the business and he said “are you serious?” We cancelled our dinner, left Kevin a good tip out of respect for ourselves and left shaking our heads. I’ve shared many experiences with my friend and we laugh about the stereotypes of all people but Kevin took the cake. While some of you may say it was a self fulfilling prophecy before we went in, this was something else. Been hanging with this guy for decades and this was a first and the worst. *UPDATE 12/29/22. Based on the reply, it is insinuated that we were drinking too fast or too much? Again and not surprised... pretty offensive. It was our first drinks of the night and we each had a few in an hour or so. Just came in to get a bite and watch the game. Oh well. It's usually the top down right? I'm glad at least you spoke to Kevin who, regardless of his motives, is bad for that business.
Very good...food and service were great, altho it was a slower evening. Our server was just very attentive and sweet.
We thought the food was mediocre; the garlic sauce overpowering, the pizza crust dry and tasteless, the cheese-steak filling was tasty but sort of turned my stomach. Maybe we just caught the kitchen on a bad day? Parking: Public parking garage located across the alley behind the restaurant.
Just there. Ordered salmon beet salad, to go. The salmon tasted spoiled and it had a bad odor. I called back to inform them of the problem. There was no apology or ‘do over’ offered. Dietary restrictions: Asked for no garlic or canola oil on the salmon. Given plan salmon, no seasoning
