The Bay Dorval

Ordered a leather sofa, and it came with a scrape just below the arm rest and some damage to the finish to the leather on the back. The Bay sent me 4 defective sofas to replace it. It turns out that the Bay recycles its returns in the hopes that someone will give up and accept something nobody wants. Delivery #4 came all the way from Toronto and arrived with 3 deep knife slashes to the back cushion plus additional damage. I refused a delivery #5, and asked for a discounted price seeing that they had delivered defective merchandise such as you would find in the seconds section of a furniture store. They agreed to a certain amount, but actually credited me for less on my Visa. There is no quality control in what they ship.

The plus size department is not what it used to be. Disappointing. Still a great place to shop though.

I can't believe my visit to the shoe department today, I took a shoe from the display and asked the man .Do you have these in 11 wide, he takes the shoe and looks at it then looks at me and asks for you? ( did he think they were for Janice standing beside me) he then comes back with a brown pair. Sorry no black 11 wide and then asks me are you sure you're 11 wide and goes back to see if he has 11 medium and comes back with a size 9 and asks me again are you sure!!!!

This Bay is getting old. Small choice of appliances. The store looks a little sparse. The Bay Fairview in Pointe-Claire is a much better store; it's much larger and much better stocked. For all that though, the Pointe-Claire store carried no large appliances, they claim not to have the space. If you're looking for large appliances, specifically from The Bay, I would recommend the downtown location.

Terrible. No one ever there to help you. Perfume counter woman was also a little rude (once could actually find someone)
