The Baseball Hotel

We really enjoyed this place that is off the beaten track but very close to Cooperstown. It felt like a little efficiency...living area, sleeping area and a private outdoor patio. The host, Christine was very gracious and gave us one of her watercolors as a souvenir. Great place if you are traveling with a dog like we did. Includes boats at no charge on the lake, we will be back!

We stayed there a few weeks ago and Absolutely Loved it!! Beautiful area and the hotel was great. We would absolutely stay here again the grounds were beautiful and the staff friendly and very helpful. W ill definitely be going back!!

The Baseball Hotel was just what I was looking for. It is charming, well located and quiet. The room and the bathroom I had were spacious. Not luxurious, but it was a good value. I would stay at the Inn again.

Everything great! Obviously I got lucky and very much enjoyed sitting on my cabin porch, sipping my wine, smoking my cigar and drinking in the panorama. The room was very clean and we were quite happy that it was ready early as well. The Baseball Hotel is in a great location, only about 12 miles from the Hall of Fame and Main Street Cooperstown. I absolutely loved this place.

READ! If I could I'd give 0 stars! Our experience to say the least was horrific! We showed up with nobody around to check us in and waited nearly three hours for someone to show. By then we got a good look at the rundown, dirty amenities it offered combined with the rude response we got when the owners eventually arrived-led us to ask for our money back. The owners that are an old couple were unsuspecting criminals as they ignored our requests, got back in there car and high tailed it out of there! Yes- you read that right! They took off! Dumb founded we were confronted shortly thereafter from the "manager" that insisted we stay because we could not get a refund based on the way we booked it. Criminal activity escalated as we were confronted by young Asian girls who insisted they were under the impression they enrolled in a college hotel management course when signing up to "intern" at this establishment. They pleaded for a ride anywhere out of town so that they could communicate with families. They said they were treated awful by working all day & night with little food and made to stay in the same room as the "manager." We were sympathetic to there situation but honestly scared to get involved...Bottomline- This place is evil!
