Red Roof Inn & Suites Herkimer

After a long day of travel, this Red Roof was what we needed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean room. The beds and furniture were so comfy. The room was nicely decorated. The breakfast was wonderful. Not enough words to describe the wonderful place this is. The owners truly care about the hotel and it's customers.

If you want to have a happy experience with a hotel stay, Red Roof Inn & Suites in Herkimer, NY is the right place. The personnel are amiable and accommodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is great for commuting to different destinations in the area.nBreakfast in the morning is delicious and fulfilling. Upon entering the breakfast room, one can’t help but notice a very pleasant, hardworking girl named Rachel. She is an employee who oversees stacking and re-stacking the food, making sure the coffee pump pot thermoses are filled with fresh hot coffee, keeping the tables clean, and thus creating a pleasant, inviting atmosphere.nFor the last two years, I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions, both by myself and with my family, and I always felt safe and welcome.nI also wanted to express my gratitude to manager Paul Brown, and Todd, Erick, and Lynn at the front desk. Their willingness to help and service exceeded my expectations.nI look forward to staying here again in the future.

I will say I was pleasantly surprised. We booked this because we needed something close to Copperstown and it seemed to be about the best you could get in the area generally we like 3 star and higher hotels and never rooms with the doors open to the parking lot and we were traveling on the interstate from Buffalo to Boston so I made the reservation with a lot of reservations. We pulled up and there were only 2 other cars in the parking lot and it’s not a real looker, but it’s clean. The office is clean, well ran, organized and has pleasant employees. So we went to our room. The room was old but clean. The bed was comfortable even though the largest bed was a queen. We checked for signs of bed bugs and didn’t see any. The air conditioner worked well and we didn’t hear any loud disruptions in the night. By morning the parking lot was full of travelers just like us. The breakfast served was good. Lots of choices for a continental plus breakfast and great coffee and tea choices in the lobby.nThe pool looked beautiful and the grounds looked well cared for. I hope this review helps anyone needing a place to stay in the middle of the state and you just need a place to rest your head for the night.

Very good place to stay! Affordable pricing and the front desk staff/ housekeepers are all very friendly and nice. Rooms are really clean and bed is very comfortable. Also very quiet I never hear the other people staying here unless it’s right outside the door of course. EXTREMELY dog friendly which was the best part. They have a nice area for the dogs and a waste bin with bags so you can clean up after your pet. Overall great place to stay.

This is probably the only great RR left. The owners clearly take great pride in the place. The rooms are super clean, the entire property is clean and in great repair. They had seasonal flowers around the property! As I checked out at 6 AM a staff member was sweeping leaves off the parking lot!nnThe folks running this place should teach a course!
