It was the second time I went to this Alley, and it has been better. I feel that they should be more open to guide customers that is not used to their chain and they shouldn’t assume we all know the concept. Both time I ordered the crunchy milk tea cocoa. The first time I asked no ice, but obviously it was like a slush so you need ice. My mistake. I usually want anything with less ice and sugar. The second time I learnt that there was the option to ask less ice and less sugar… so I wished the cashier of the first time could have explained to me by sharing that I can ask less ice in the options. Doesn’t hurt to inform its customers. Anyway I enjoyed my bubble tea.
Extremely unprofessional and terrible experience. This was on Wednesday evening Jan 4th. Warden and Gibson location. I walked in and the cashier was chatting with another man behind the plastic/glass protecter so I assumed he was a client at first. The cashier muttered something in Cantonese about us, which I was able to understand. They appeared to be chatting and indifferent about serving us. The man as it turns out, worked at the back in the tapioca prep area. I asked the cashier that instead of the brown sugar ginger milk tea, are there other ginger drink options? My partner doesn’t like sugar but loves ginger. To my surprise, she coldy responded with “no” and did not offer to follow up with anything else. For myself, I have always ordered the garden milk tea before it was discontinued at the alley. So I asked if there was a drink similar to this and she just stared at me and muttered, “I don’t know”. Her attitude and lack of customer service skills astounded me. I could barely hear her so I thought I misheard. I clarified by asking again, but this time asking whether she knew at least what the tea base was for the discontinued drink. She again, just stared at me and did not respond. I was really uncomfortable with this experience so my partner and I just left without buying anything. I will NOT return to this location, very disappointed.
Every time I come here, there’s something about this place that makes me not want to sit down. I’ll come back to this review when I figure it out but all the drinks are made well. Only thing is the staff assumes you know their entire menu in and out and I almost feel pressured to order correctly
The Alley is always a great place to sit and enjoy each other's company. This place was clean and quiet. They were attentive to drink customisations and have free wifi as well!
Great décor, nicely themed and a rather unique menu compared to competitions. Drinks are higher-priced generally but not too far off. The aurora series taste great but the slush can be a bit finer bit too chunky for my taste. Overall great experience here, glad they opened one near me.
Great customer service, and creative drinks. Its a little bit pricey but well worth it especially the Royal Milk Tea which has a hint of blueberry. They also do these famous multi colored tiered slushies inside a creative bottle display. Tapioca is on point and quality overall is great, no hint of a powdery taste.
I came evening time a few times and one drink usually take 15min to make even I’m the only customer. It’s often incorrectly made or they don’t have all ingredients. It seems they have never made the drink before even if its the simple milk tea.
Absolutely delicious! I haven’t had one of their bubble teas for about 4-5 months, so I completely forgot what I used to drink - and everything about them. I walked in and asked a few questions, was super indecisive, and took forever thank goodness there wasn’t a line!, but their staff were sooo patient, understanding, and offered amazing recommendations. The drinks were delicious, of course. We had the ‘Deerioca Fever w/ fresh milk’ & the ‘Royal No. 9 w/ Tapioca’. Love it!
This is one of my favorite Alley stores as it’s roomy, clean and has good ventilation. My favorite tea is their peach oolong bubble tea!
I never write reviews but I feel the experience my gf and I had warrants one. We visited this location for the first time yesterday evening, and we ordered the Deerioca Milk Tea to go. After we left, my gf had an exposed pin caught in her throat from drinking it which she mistakenly thought was crushed ice. Might have been hard to notice the small object it while drinking it with all the tapiocas. She had to vomit it out as it began to irritate and felt a cut on her tongue. I immediately went back to the store to bring this to the attention of the owner and staff. We even discovered a DA button in our drink which the pin was separated from. It may be an honest mistake but this incident is deeply unacceptable. Watch out for your drinks!
