Food was really good, service was also pleasant. Our server was very kind and accommodating. The food prices were very expensive for the little portions and overall taste. Good for the experience, but I would think twice before going back. They also charge 17% gratuity on dine in & takeout… BTW, the Chicken & Shrimp Sizzling Plate, and Chicken & Shrimp Cajun Pasta were the BEST out of all the dishes we tried. We tried 6 different dishes!!!
Quite sad to read so many reviews on the overpriced food. My family ate here in May 2022. We were tourists and did not know about the fact that they were overpriced. We also did not know about the culture of tipping. We heard that waiters would chase after the customers if no tips were given. So we tipped on top of whatever service charges levied as part of the bill. When we entered the restaurant, no one bothered to show us to a table, even though the restaurant was fairly empty at around 3pm and there were many staff standing around. Overall experience was not positive. We did not go back again even though we stayed in a hotel next door.
We visited TJI Friday for a quick bite and beers. The location is awesome.. right before Niagara falls . We ordered a burger and a couple of beers. The food was fresh and delicious. The service is fast. The restaurant is pretty big. I have been to TJI Friday, India, which is such a happening place which raised my expectations over here. Comparing that I would say the drinks menu is limited and very few in-house beers . This restaurant does not have a beer tester/flight which is disappointing as well. overall, a good place to hangout .
The only compliment I can give is that they will sell you alcohol to go. Other than that, I can't say much in their favor. The food was way overpriced for what you get. Low quantity and low quality. Check out the actual price of a salad we bought from them for the price of $25! Crazy. There are much better options within close walking distance. Also you can easily door dash and Uber eats to this hotel so don't feel limited to the on site restaurants. Kid-friendliness: Small arcade in the lobby
Broke my 30th birthday here with a delicious cheese cake. The food was good, rye wings was good and burger was good too. Definitely would see me again Kid-friendliness: They have food and drinks for kids.
The food is really good. I like the shrimp and chicken pasta and New York steak. The service is also really good.
Professional service, enjoyed the beer that the server recommended. But the quality of food is not the quality that I expected. However, the early 2000s American family dining vibe of this restaurant was fabulous.
At first we were very impressed at the proportions of the store. There was room for 300 people but only 10 were present, which made us a little suspicious. We ordered drinks and had to wait 15 minutes for them. A drink was even forgotten and that with an order of 5 drinks. A drink was 7up. This only tasted like water at first and extremely like chlorine. When asked to replace it, a "new" one was brought with the comment that they tried it and it tasted like 7up. The second drink was even worse and the smell of chlorine even burned my nose. I then decided on the cola that was brought too much. Next we went to eat. We sat relatively close to the kitchen. We had to wait at least 40 minutes for our food. During this time we observed that our food was on the table in the kitchen for 10 minutes. The staff kept taking fries off the plate in passing, it's not possible! For the price of the meal, totally overpriced! As an example, I paid $64 for my regular spare ribs. The menu included these with $28 and $42 on the bill. When asked, the service said it was in the menu?! We left a total of $355 there for 5 people, for which you can usually eat twice in a 5-star restaurant. The very best came at the end. A tip of 18% was automatically added to the bill, for the service it was absolutely cheeky, if I could speak English better as a tourist, I would have withdrawn the tip! I will never go into a Fridays store again and the one in Niagara Falls should be closed immediately!
RIP OFF!!! BE AWARE. I went late last night for a quick dinner. It was late so we just had the appetizers. The quality of food is terrible but I didn’t expect good food for a place like that. My bill was $104.76. I ended up paying $133.38. They give you the machine to pay so I paid a 20% tip on a $13% tip + food. 20% on $118.38. My phone was dead so I didn’t get the opportunity to read the reviews.
I have always been a huge fan of TGI Fridays, Have been since I was a kid whenever we would travel to the United States. The food at the two Canadian locations is much better then in the United States and so is the drink offering. The ceasar here is really good and so is the Electric limonade, highly recommend to also get the sample platter. This visit was up to standard, food was very good, served fairly quick and service was good, Camilla took good care of us and was friendly However, I believe one employee was dining at the bar, this employee or person was chatting with everyone and seemed like everyone new him. He was being extremely loud and obnoxious, ruining the atmosphere for everyone around. The cherry on the Sunday, at no point were we informed that a 17% autograt was going to be charged to any bill until we received it. This is common for groups of 6 or more, but we were two... I'm very disappointed by this practice and this is unacceptable. Ask for it to be removed, when I did, I was told this was due to inflation end the hard times. Sure thing as if that's my responsibility. That's too bad for them because I never tip below 20% but if you autograt me don't expect me to tip 1$ more. Servers will be hurt by this in the long run when really it's just a bad business decision by poor management. Don't think I will return for this reason. It's just greedy and nobody should be forced to tip. Tip is earned and diserved, not garanteed. They also mandatorily charge you an NFDF fee Wich is just a scam. A Niagara falls fee that just goes to the owners pockets. ITS NOT MANDATORY. Make a scene and ask for it to be removed specially if you were not informed before. Go to the other location down the block, they don't seem to be charging 17% unless for large groups of 8 people.
