Black Angus Steakhouse is one of Toronto's landmark steakhouses, originally established in 1964. We are excited to announce that Black Angus Steakhouse will be moving to a stunning new restaurant space conveniently located in Bloor Islington Place, north-east corner of Bloor & Islington.

Dined in a few times now. Service is always great, very friendly wait staff. Great wine selection, steaks are cooked perfectly and their crab cakes are delicious! Definately worth a visit if you enjoy a good steak!
Walked in for Dinner with colleagues on a weekday, didn't need a reservation. Seemed very quiet. Good ambience, great tasting food, good service too. Parking isn't so far. Fair pricing. Would certainly recommend for dates.
We got the crab cakes and tuna tartare as apps and the clam pasta and rack of lamb for mains. Everything was so delicious, BEYOND delicious. Crab cakes were a favourite. Oh and they served with fresh bread and truffle butterFood: 5/5
Went at 4:30 on a Saturday so it was relatively quiet. The ambiance was nice as we entered and sat on a covered patio. The steak and the apps were delicious, and our server was very pleasant.
Would recommend this place to anyone. The waiter we've had both times I've gone is incredible, and the whole service is great. Along with that, the food, the most important part, has always been cooked perfectly and the sides and every app I've tried is great. Recommend the filet Minon and steak tartar. Only thing is Patron shots are $19 caught me off guard. But expected when you come to a place like Black Angus. All in all, worth a try.
The boneless ribeye was ok. One ny strip had and extra piece, like a tendon that was that though and not edible. Their steak knives were not sharp. The chocolate dessert was not good. served cold, felt like someone took it out of the fridge, threw it on a plate and served it. $4 for the sauce is not worth it at all. The cheesecake was awesome, highly recommend. The clams were really good.
Went there for my birthday dinner with couple friends! Great atmosphere, good service! We got an off menu dry aged 44oz tomahawk steak as a main to share, was little not enough for 3 people with two appetizers! Definitely recommend to try, will be back to try some other items as well!
Black Angus isn't the old steakhouse it once was. Moving to the new location gave the opportunity for a modern refresh in the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, with an open view of the kitchen. Service was attentive and prompt and all requests were accommodated. The food was also spot on for everything we tried. My wife and I had the tuna tartar, oysters, classic Caesar salad, 12oz dry aged strip loin you really could taste a distinct flavour of the dry aging!. Sides were all excellent and I especially enjoyed the truffle baked potato with Manchego cheese. Dinner was for 8 for a friend's birthday and to our surprise, a gratuity was not added for our party. Bills were split without any fuss, as well. Definitely an enjoyable experience and good food, giving this an easy 5 star review!
Banger alert, lol. This place over performed for sure. Knew it was going to be good food, but didn’t expect it to be that good. Some of the over performers included the oysters, steak, and cheesecake. On the “best I ever had border.” Under performers were the crab cakes and cocktails.
Our family once got takeout from Black Angus during the pandemic that was really tasty, so we came back to celebrate a birthday. It was, unfortunately, disappointing in certain respects. The good: the Canadian tenderloin and sides Brussels sprouts and fries were very good, the service was generally attentive, and they gave us a complimentary dessert for the birthday—a nice touch. The not so good: the truffle flavour in the butter accompanying the bread was so strong as to be overpowering; the risotto was meh blandish, and the shrimp was overcooked; the drinks order was mixed up; the dessert was hard as a rock straight from the freezer? It was work cutting it!; and the worst part, we were swatting fruit flies throughout the meal! Not what we expected for those prices. I might try a takeout burger again sometime, but not a sit down meal. I prefer someplace like Earls for better value and equal or better quality. Too bad.
