Great little hidden gem! One of the best tasting Ghanaian food spots I’ve had in Toronto. The goat suya & fried yam is what I order whenever I’m in the area and they never disappoint me!! BrownsRUs:YT
Panafest bar and grill is super tasty nice service and family owned .You will definitely know that you are getting super fresh and quality food. If you are looking for African restaurant that is best know for there yam and choffi this is definitely the spot!!!!!!
It’s located in the basement. The place is not an impressive one. Perhaps because the place is under renovation during my visit. It could be a great place one of these days.
You won’t regret it ! Just curious are they doing renovations because I went and it was closed.
Nice and tasty suya. But the goat suya simply has too much bones in it. Complained on several occasions but the outcome is still the same. Please work on this. The chicken suya also has to be worked on. Above all, it’s a good restaurant, courteous staff but environment is not really clean.
The food May be good on some days. but honestly this is a dirty restaurant. You guys are dirty! The food are not kept in a condition that is appealing.. The kitchen is so dirty. exposed to germs, Nobody wears a hair cover in there even when cooking... and the final straw was I seen fly in the meal i ordered.
I've patronized this place a couple of times. They 're very moody. You just don't know what mood a staff might be in to serve you that day. I went I there last week and an older lady there was super annoyed because we changed the other. They need better customer service approach. It's my money and I expect great service. Mind you, I drive all the way from the east to buy their fried yam and Turkey!
Kitchen staff had no hat on thick braids. Manager was quick to correct when it was pointed out. Food was not great like other Ghanaian restaurant, watche was hard, salty. Premises was however clean. No POS for payment, forced to take cash from private ABM that charged $2. Food received was a little different from phone order Overall experience was 2.5.
I drove over 30km to buy yams and chofi turkey tail as this is my favorite spot for this and i was very disappointed. The chofi tasted ok though the serving size was very very small and the yams were very nasty. They did not taste the same as it normally does. The lack of consistency is very displeasing.
I don’t usually do reviews of restaurants that I have gone to, good or bad, but I have decided to do this one because of my horrible experience and to warn everyone! Yesterday was my first time at that restaurant and we spent about $80. For starters, the place is very dirty and it is indeed a a dark hole in a wall. Flies everywhere. That said, I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. One of the foods we bought was omu tuo. When I got home and opened up the food, the soup had gone bad and the omu tuo rice ball looked like it was 1 week old with discolorizution on it; like someone was eating and with their dirty hands decided to make my food see photo attached. There was this big guy/kid in the kitchen who appeared not to know what he was doing. I will NEVER go to this dirty rat hole again!
