Story

At Batch Bakehouse we make bread & pastry the old-fashioned way, before dawn, from scratch, using only the finest ingredients, each piece carefully crafted by hand.

Our retail store is closed to walk-in customers. PRE-ORDERS ONLY.

Due to Covid-19 we have shifted to online orders for pick up and delivery. Order Sunday - Friday, 48 hours in advance, for pick up or delivery Thursday - Sunday.

Pick ups are from 10-2pm.
Deliveries go out on routes and are delivered from 11am-3pm.

We found this gem on the way from Fargo to St. Louis. Everything in the bakery looks and taste delicious. We went crazy buying freshly baked goods. I wish we were closer. Madison residents are lucky to have such a quaint place. It was worth the detour. I would do it again and again. Now that I am eating in the car, I want to go back.
The best bakery I've found in Madison, hands down. With a wide variety of breads, pastries and many other baked goods, their selection for both sweet and savory items is the widest I've found in the city. The staff were incredibly helpful. I love that they have many mini items so I can try a bunch if different things!

Batch is my favorite local bakery! Their breads are crusty AND chewy, their pastries are amazing both sweet and savory, and the people rock.
Pain au chocolat is fantastic. Loved the curbside pickup option.
The vegan banana/choc. chip muffins are first rate! Not always on the menu but call a day or two ahead and you'll not be sorry! Yum!
We love/hate having Batch around the corner! Recommended everything I've ever had. Favorites are the pretzels and morning buns!
I've lived in Madison way too long to not try this place. Finally did and WOW!!! Got about 5 or 6 different baked goods and they were all phenomenal!!!
Everything we tried was phenomenal. Key lime pie - outstanding. Strawberry lemon cupcake - perfect. Bourbon caramel short cookie - mind blowing. Excellent place and will certainly be back.
