I took my mother to partake in the Royal Afternoon Tea experience at Tea Thyme on Main St. Reservations for the tea experience are required but the cafe has a fantastic variety of other drinks and treats on offer. We each had our own pot of tea - there were a number of types to choose from. I chose the Rose Black Tea which was floral and fragrant. Service was excellent; bringing additional cream for scones and refilling our tea when the pots were getting low. Onto the food, the Royal Tea is a three tiered tower. Savoury sandwiches and bites at the bottom, fruit scones with cream and jam in the middle, and sweet desserts on top. My favourites from the savoury were the tuna salad cone and the egg salad sandwich. The scones were warm and delicious. From the sweets, my favourite was the mango tart which had fresh mango on it. It is definitely an afternoon tea experience that I would recommend to others and one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I had a great time with my girlfriends while enjoying high tea at Tea Thyme. I suggest make a reservation ahead of time! All the treats were so delicious and the scones were freshly baked so it was piping hot! We ordered a full size afternoon tea for a 8 yo and the server even offered to swap out the tea for any other drinks on the menu to accommodate the kid. Next time I'll need to try their banana waffle in a very cute packaging
Excellent tea set and good value. This restaurant is my cup of tea. Tea selection and tea mix are ver good for this price.Food: 5/5
Highly recommend their high tea set, price is reasonable and the staffs were so friendly! They have some nice variety of teas to choose from. The atmosphere was lovely, my girl friends and I had a really good time thereFood: 5/5
I went here with my partner for the Royal Tea and had a wonderful experience! The tea itself was really excellent and was clearly steeped exactly the right amount of time before they brought it out to us. We didn't think to try two different pots but the Cloud 9 Rooibos we tried had a lot of depth of flavor. Every food item was something you really wanted to enjoy and savor- I especially appreciated how light and fresh some of the sweeter offerings were, like the mango tart and strawberry puff pastry, because we were pretty full by the time we got to the top of that tower! There's great ambience in the cafe, and lots of attention to detail, the chairs and seashell tea cups in particular are very curated design choices. Probably a terrific place to take photos for Instagram if you're into that. Overall highly recommend!
I love afternoon tea so was excited to try this place out. Got high tea with my mom and everything was so cute. Got a pot of sparkling cassis which was a white tea with mango, orange and papaya I think. Very fruity. My mom had the rose garden. The mugs and pot are very cute. I am pescatarian and they accommodated the set towards it. The savory things were very good. The scones were good and the dessert, especially the mango tart as the mangos were ripe and tasted very delicious. We met Kenny who served us who is super nice and we had a lovely conversation with. Will definitely go there again to try the banana waffle and a drink! :
Such an amazing High Tea place located on Main Street. Hidden GEM in mist of noisy central Vancouver!Food: 5/5
Taste a lot like a banana bread with filling inside. However price is a bit on the higher end. I also tried the mango oasis and was just ok. Probably wouldn’t go back for the banana or drink but might try the afternoon tea. Service was great though.Food: 3/5
We celebrated a belated birthday here. Food was delicious. Very friendly service. Nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the experience thoroughly. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Kid-friendliness: I think this place would be good for kid party. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs. It’s easy access.
Chill place to visit with friends. Great atmosphere in the store and the staff are nice and friendly. Great selections of coffee and tea latte. Will definitely come back to try the banana waffle.
