Even though we’d just had dinner and were already stuffed to the brim, we went to Malaysia St. and stuffed ourselves even more with dessert! I ordered a Blue Tea Coconut Milk and our daughter had a Rose Ice Cream Float. Blue Tea Coconut: Ordered this not because it sounded super tasty; rather, it sounded tasty enough and more importantly, lighter for my already full stomach than a lot of the other options on the menu which sounded like they would be a lot heavier! The bright blue colour comes from Butterfly pea flower. I loved this drink and would happily order it again. Refreshing, tasty and a lovely selection of toppings in it. So pretty too, with that bright blue colour. Rose Ice Cream Float: Originally, our daughter was leaning towards a Root Beer float. That’s something we could make at home so we persuaded her to try something different; hence she ordered the Rose Ice Cream Float. She loved it, and I loved that she loved it. It’s always exciting when our picky eater tries something new and ends up loving it. It brings her one step closer to being a not so picky eater! Service: Good Parking:   Paid parking on the street Location: On Fraser St. between E. 23rd Ave. and E. 24th Ave.
Small dessert place owned by Penang Bistro next door. Cute interior, takeout only. There was a buy 3 items, get one mango sticky rice free promo when we went. Mango Sticky Rice and Kuih Lapis nine layers coconut cake both taste pretty good. But we are disappointed in their cold drink blue tea coffee latte, taste is very bland and pricer than their desserts. Would recommend getting their desserts instead of drinks.
new Malaysian dessert place in Vancouver. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. He is clearly enthusiastic about Malaysian food and keen to spread the culture. Coconut ice-cream smoothie-this made me miss summer so bad. Limited quantity everyday. I came for this and this is not disappointing! Prepared fresh and I witnessed the process. Drizzle of coconut black sugar on that vanilla ice cream the smoothie is very creamy but not heavy at all. 8/10 coconut with purple sticky rice- a typical winter dessert. Warm and filling. 7/10 The menu here has a variety of Malaysian traditional dessert, also a Malaysian restaurant right beside it. The indoor decorations is full of a tropical vibe. Recommend to give it a try! Decent pricing! Malaysia Street 3932 Fraser St, Vancouver
Best dessert place ever in Vancouver-!!!!! I ordered original milk tea with a grass jelly, green milk tea, And coconut pandan dessert! I love how they made grass jelly it's not chunky, it's easy to swallow. The texture of grass jelly was the best in Vancouver and also green tea milk was so rich and flavorful! And I love how big Portion is! And also coconut pandan cake was awesome it wasn't expensive at all it comes 4 pieces in one Box. The texture of coconut pandan cake was in between Korean rice cake and Chinese glass jelly and although I wasn't born in Malaysia I feel so home after eating this. And I think This kind of dessert is really good When it's rainy or cloudy. This will be my favorite Vancouver dessert place And I'll come back when I'm around to the town
@malaysiastreet.yvr Wow I found this new Malaysian Street restaurant on Fraser Street. Interior design and ambience are Malaysian alike. I ordered many items, so I could try them all 1 snow pandan chiffon cake 2 mango snowball mochi 3 bubur cha cha cold 4 durian paradise 5 kuih lapis 6 Thai green new beverage - green tea from Thai. Not from@Japan All I can say is everything is very unique. The durian paradise and Thai green tasted very good and rich. The Thai green also included special boba and grass belly. I never tried something like this in vancouver. Good thing is I don’t need to travel to Malaysia to eat all of them Thanks for the boss Jack for introducing all these good beverage and desserts to me and offering me a free drink! I really appreciate it! Definitely will go back and try the lunch and dinner!! #yvrfoodie #yvrfood #yvrfoodies #yvreats #malaysianfood #pandanchiffoncake #durian #durianlovers #thaigreen #greentea #mangomochi #kuihlapis #asianfood #asianstreetfood #chiffon #chiffoncakes
Mango sticky rice take out. The sticky rice is stale, lack in coconut flavour. Nice fruits Bubur Cha Cha ‍hearty & fulfilling 09 gula Melaka cendol pleasure nice texture. Bland Coconut pandan cake very jelly. Strong coconut flavour Mango cream roll ‍love the mango cream, authentic natural. The sponge cake is moist, but boring not my type milk tea w/ grass jelly Fruit salad ‍the sauce isn’t my thing
If you like Malaysian food, definitely give this a try. Can’t believe Vancouver now has Kuih Lapis 9 layered cake in town. The dessert hot pot is so fancy and delicious with coconut milk and sugar. Love the Malaysia Teh Tarik milk tea with grass jelly. Highly recommended
I am a big fan of mango, coconut and durian which happened to be the key flavors of Malaysian desserts the durian slush and the that milk tea is heaven! Mochis and the coconut cakes are also tasty
ATTN DURIAN LOVERS! The durian paradise is indeed durian paradise! Real durian straight from Malaysia, not those wishy washy durian powder. Btw, BOGO 50% now!!! Too bad they don’t have seatings :
DELICIOUS! Amazing staff and the interior is so cute. Take a picture of the exterior with the swing. It looks better on phone then in person lol. Staff: welcoming and kind. The lady gave us recommendations and also was sweet. I tried the green chai latte which the lady recommended which is delicious with popping boba and jello The Malaysian desserts is unique, I like the pink mochi looking one. Don’t know the name but it’s nice and light to eat. Would come here again to try different drinks and to say hi to the staff :
