Dr. Dan French is a board certified equine surgeon and official FEI veterinarian whose main interest focuses on the jumper and dressage clientele. Dan has been the resident veterinarian at Spruce Meadows for 25 years, and oversees the breeding and training of young Hanoverian sport horse prospects at his family's stable, Teradan Farms.
Dr. Suzon Schaal was born and raised in the Millarville area, where her family have been long time ranchers in the community. She has a keen interest in podiatry and focuses her professional efforts on the western performance clientele. Suzon is a highly successful competitor in her own right, having won the title of World Champion in the non-pro divisions of working cow horse competition an impressive 5 times, along with 3 Calgary Stampede championships and 1 national title!
Dr. Candice Crosby has been associated with the sport horse industry her entire life. With her roots in Nova Scotia, her father Kevin has competed at the top level of the show jumping discipline and was amongst the first national riders from the east to compete at Spruce Meadows. Candice has been a successful competitor in the hunter and jumper world, and she also enjoys playing polo. Candice is an FEI Official veterinarian, and will continue to play an important role in the FEI sanctioned events at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping and Spruce Meadows.
Lynn Gerard, RAHT, comes from the Cypress Hills area in Saskatchewan, and has been a veterinary technician at Okotoks Animal Clinic for 9 years. Lynn's talents as an AHT are only exceeded by her exceptional management and administrative skills. Lynn has several horses of her own and enjoys team roping. Lynn will often be the friendly voice on the phone when you call TD Equine.
Karli Mergen, BA Econ, has a long standing history in Calgary's equestrian community. Her father Gerd was an established dressage trainer and was the breeding master of the Spruce Meadows horse program before retiring in 2006. An accomplished rider herself, Karli has been Dr. French's executive assistant for the past 7 years and will oversee the administration of TD Equine.
