I will NEVER enter this branch again. I have dealt with TD for over 30 years. My branch closed this year and I have had to bank elsewhere. Every time I use this branch it’s a nightmare. From the ridiculously long wait times to the constant hold on cheques. Any other branch has absolutely no problem posting cheques. Every cheque over the “tellers limit” which must be low, goes through some time consuming process, only for me to be told they have to hold it for 5 days. I have NEVER had a cheque returned, neither my company’s or a clients. Absolutely unacceptable. I will drive anywhere needed to never deal with them again. Counter staff are not to blame, they are pleasant and doing the bidding of whatever incompetent person thinks they run the place. I am not alone in this sentiment. This branch has a horrible reputation among any I speak to. Over the years I have always sung the praises of TD, but this branch is a blemish.
Worst TD branch ever. Customer service sucks. I do my business with TD bank. Wanted to deposit a local cheque in this bank, they want to hold it for 5 business days. Other branches in Hamilton like the one on upper James and the one on Fennel Avenue never put a hold on a cheque. When I asked the teller why there is a hold at this branch, she says the manager of the branch instructed to put a hold on the cheques. Overall very bad customer service. PLEASE GO TO A DIFFERENT BRANCH OR USE ANOTHER BANK. THIS BRANCH IS PATHETIC. VERY BAD / UNTRAINED / LEFT OVER CREW WORKS AT THIS LOCATION.
I have had 2 occasions to seek help from some advisers at the bank. I made an appointment myself and my daughter & I were treated with respect and in a very professional manner. Ziggy helped us solve a bit of an issue for her to travel overseas and educated her on some banking options so she would be well informed about the product she was going to use. I have banked with TD on and off for many years. The personalized service was refreshing and I'm sure I'll be doing more business with them.
We had many issues with this bank. While the customer service is friendly, they do not seem to have the right knowledge to help us. First incident they tried to hold a bank draft a guaranteed fund as if it was a cheque that could bounce. Except it’s a bank draft.. it’s impossible for it to bounce. Many more issues, such as my husband card was frozen under the suspicion of fraudulent activity. My husband went to the bank and they told him they don’t know why it was frozen and just gave him a new card. Well obviously the new card didn’t work, and my husband had to call TD to sort the issue immediately as he was out of town for work.TD customer service on the phone did not understand why this branch did not advise him to call loss prevention service and just issue him a card. Sadly we had many more issues like this to the point where we seriously considered switching to another bank. The staff just lack the experience and continually advise wrong information which leads to multiple calls to TD in order to sort out our financials. It’s just ridiculous.
Today I met both Samantha and Jackie, with each one helping me for a different situation. Service was professional and so friendly. I felt comfortable asking many questions without feeling like I was annoying. Thank you to both for excellent assistance. Thank you also to the friendly greeter at the entrance.
I tried to deposit bank draft, and had to use some of the funds for the postdated cheques. I asked the teller to release some of the funds as I did in other bank branches. They said they cannot do that and told me to come back the next day when the manager is there. The next day I spent half of an hour waiting and the manager told me the same answer. I asked them to fax a verified letter to the bank issued the cheque and I gave him the business card as this draft was from my another bank account. The manager promised me that he would fax the next business day and called me for any updates. But I did not receive any calls so I called the branch. No answers for the first three times. When picked up, they said the manager is busy and gave me the wrong extension. I finally found the extension number from the Internet and left a few massages. I also called my old banks issued the draft to check if they receive the fax., but no. None of my calls and messages is replied. They just ignore the customers. Overall , the service is bad and the staffs know nothing and keep pushing to the next person, who also knows nothing. What they are capable to do is wasting your time and give you a long face.
One of the friendliest branches around. This branch is not as busy as other branches around it so because of its location you maybe able to pop in and get through a little bit quicker than going to Barton or one of the other branches.
The Manager and the teller there was extremely helpful. Very friendly staff with prompt service. Will definitely return to this bank for more services.
I entered the TD branch in Westdale Hamilton at 11:45 with a problem with my account not being able to recognize its pin for online banking. The current staff were helpful but didn't know how to solve the problem and some personnel in meetings so they offered the greeters phone to use to call the help line. I was on hold for 20 minutes and there was a change of staff and Christine approached the greeters desk and told me that me using the phone to call the TD help line was unacceptable and I should use my own phone because "its my job to use the phone, not yours". And she proceeded to take the phone away from me wasting my time at TD AND not solving my problem. She ruined my experience as a customer and I will be transferring to another bank as soon as I am able to regain access of my account. Had she simply asked me politely to use another phone or asked if there was anything she could do I would not be writing this complaint however she was rude and demeaned me because I was younger than her. Overall everyone there is excellent other than her.
Worst customer service. They love to send you back for extra documents, unnecessary things. Different location had updated without even having copy. Tellers are alright bt people walking around them probably their bosses are way too extra
