What I endured today was absolutely devastating, I simply went to this bank to double check a deposit I had put, without any explanation or notice they took the deposit off without my knowledge. I went to ask why and the way the worker treated me was very insulting, and refused me the correct service and left me with an uncertified cheque. I got treated like this was all on me and that I was the one responsible for this when this all happened without my knowledge.nnIf I could give this place a 0/10 I would, never would I recommend this place to anyone.
Just want to get coin for the store I work at and the manager gives me a hard time saying I have to email her ahead of time which is wierd because I never had to do that before and the total coin is always changing so I can never give an exact amount until the same hour and day that I need the coin. The girls are all friendly but not the manager. I might move my account to a better bank soon. I would expect a bank to have at least 500$ in five dollar bills.
Update:nnNothing has successfully improved as of today, and the frustration is taking its toll on my mental health. I have full intention to close my accounts when I can and no longer bank with TD. Again, communication will be the majority of my complaint, along with ineptness, I suppose. I don't have a clear understanding of my ongoing issues because nobody communicates. I'd also like to say that management should follow up on complaints and make sure everything is copacetic. As well as sitting in on meetings and double checking with the client that everything is in order. You know, managerial type things. My escalation could use an escalation as well. That is currently in the works.nnInitial Complaint:nnCommunication is the majority of my complaint. The branch employee dealing with my mortgage just stopped communicating. Multiple emails and phone calls, over 5 business days, were met without response. I escalated to the branch manager and was told I'd get a response by end of day today. With end of day approaching rapidly, and no response yet, I chose to go down to the branch to get my answer. At 5:50pm, 10 minutes before they close, I got my answer. A simple answer. An answer that could have been emailed. An answer that could have been a call. An answer that didn't need escalation. An answer that didn't need 5 business days. I am left extremely stressed and in tight time constraints because of the actions of the bank.
UPDATE 2025: This fall, despite having received mortgage renewal documents from head office that just needed to be signed and returned, as 50 year clients of TD, we tried to sit down at this branch where we've banked 13 years to get a bit of a better rate. Instead, they decided we needed to re-qualify for a mortgage RENEWAL for the small amount left on our mortgage. Of course we would be expected to cover all incurred legal and land title fees for this to happen! Instead, we filled out the forms emailed to us by head office, ignored the calls from the branch and dealt strictly with head office to complete the renewal with head office. It was easy as pie but of course at their rate which was still better than what this branch was going to do to us! I've been telling my husband for years. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRANCH. DO EVERYTHING BY PHONE WITH HEAD OFFICE BY CALLING THE NUMBERS ON THE TD APP AND USING YOUR DEBIT CARD. I believe after this BS he finally agrees! This branch also dropped the ball on some of our investment rates, not checking boxes to have investment proceeds deposited electronically and the list goes on. There is a revolving door for investment advisors. The last new one told us we could rely on him, he'd be there a long time. I called him for an update on something he was doing for me 3 weeks after that initial conversation and was told he was at his going away lunch lol! I'm surprised they have time to get business cards printed. It's a gong show we will avoid going forward.nOLD REVIEW: We have been customers of TD for decades at several branches across Western Canada. The service once in the door at this branch is passable, but they lose points for not returning phone calls when we are forced to leave a message to set up an appointment if we are absolutely forced to go and see someone. Once you do speak to someone it's a week to 10 days before you can get in. Heavy advisor and branch manager turn over too and they don't seem very well trained.
TD Bank is the friendliest bank I ever went too. The workers at TD are friendly and helpful. When I go into the TD they say hi to me or say goodbye too. That’s how friendly the TD bank is. They always have a smile on there faces. Thanks for your service TD Bank.
