TD Bank

After many years of a solid and profitable relationship with TD Bank, wonderful local personnel (Hyannis Branch) my business hit hard times with other accounts unable to make payments to us and then many other fiscal hits, the account was no longer viable. Despite making repeated requests to outside entities to stop automatic charges we began incurring a spiraling deficit with penalties. Not only was I able to speak with a local branch officer (the corporate offices were not as efficient - cut off many times while being transferred) but after listening to the Kafka like nightmare I was experiencing, they compassionately forgave all debts and mercifully closed the account with nothing due. Compassionate, human, efficient. That has been my experience with the local TD Bank Branch here in Hyannis, MA. My main accounts are with BankAmerica, who I love, but figured it would be easier to keep track of if this particular account was at a different bank, that way I couldn't screw up and use money from the wrong account. I was in TD talking to one of the managers and mentioned I was going to take cash out of my account to deposit into my boyfriend's account as he needed to pay one of our bills. She said I could just deposit my paycheck. I said I'm afraid it won't clear in time, and she told me they'd clear it. Well, they DIDN'T and we got charged a fee and also stuff bounced. I went in to complain to her but she wasn't there. I closed our accounts and went back to BankAmerica. I had a problem with Sovereign too, so neither of these banks gets my business. I balance my accounts to the penny so it's 100% their fault.

Went to the Main Street branch in April 2016 to have some documents notarized and I was told that she cannot notarized my documents for me and I went to a next bank which I'm not a customer of and got my documents notarized. I'll never go back to this branch and even contemplating to close my account.
