Tawas Point State Park

We had a great time camping here! Amazing location right on tge point. Great bike paths directly to the beach and lighthouse. Safe place for kids. Bathrooms were clean, showers hot (too hot for me and NOT temperature adjustable). Fairly large campsites, although sizes do vary by site. Water available nearby, but not on site. Electrical was not conveniently located for my site, so be prepared with extensions cords.

This is my absolute favorite state park! Between the amazing beaches, the great walking and nature trails, and the lighthouse this is the best park to visit in Michigan. The historical tours of the lighthouse are fun for the whole family. There is a cute little shop to buy gifts and memorabilia next to the lighthouse. There are so many locations for good picture taking that creates good lasting family memories!

Light house is beautiful you go tour it it is guided though certain times. I want to camp here next time. Well taken care of. There are 2 places to fish, if you walk around the first pond to the back of it is lake huron. Beautiful view.

Bring your bikes! This is a wonderful place, well cared for with tours of lighthouse, concession & gift house. If you get a camping spot on the outside circle (which I recommend if you have a tent or minivans are reasonably priced), it's actually quiet & the frogs serenade you at night. Lots of families & kids. A great place to vacation. Clean restrooms & individual showers.

This is still one of my family's favorite beaches in Michigan to visit. The drive from home in Grand Blanc is a little long be entirely worth it. The beach, park, and community are always so nicely kept after, we hardly run into dirty areas or mean people up here. Beautiful beach with campsites nearby, just be careful during holidays and festivals and be sure to book hour reservation far in advance!
