This was my first visit to The Tavern. The service was outstanding but the food was average at best. I ordered the scallops and they were overcooked and rubbery. The sauce on the pasta I ordered on the side tasted like it came from a jar. My husband ordered a Delmonico steak and it was small and fatty. There are better options in Western Mass.
Absolutely amazing... school choir singing Christmas carols. Ruben sandwich A+ definitely recommend Good friends and food
A decent restaurant with decent food, though in my view the Tavern is about the quintessential generic American nice-ish sit down restaurant. Still worth a visit if convenient. The french onion soup was the standout dish, it is one of the best I have had, and we tend to order french onion at every restaurant that has it. Other dishes were decent but not anything amazing. Chicken parm was typical, fish was good. The side salads were not great, some of the lettuce was wilty. Portion sizes are pretty good and the chicken parm was quite large. The environment inside is nice, though we were in the room without the bar both rooms seemed well decorated and pleasant. Our waitress was excellent and service was prompt. Overall would be stuck between 3 and 4 stars perhaps, but the french onion soup was very good and made the decision easy.
Incredible service, the food was awesome, drinks were served promptly and chilly. The waitress separated the checks with the skill of a tax agent. The evening went smoothly as silk. Fantastic rehearsal dinner.
Can I give zero stars? Overcooked steak, undercooked side dish and stale fries Waitress had a don’t care attitude asked for rolls several times and she kept saying she would check if they were ready and other tables already had rolls. Waitress did not ask how I would like my steak cooked when ordering and walked away , had to go up and ask them about how I wanted it cooked. I think they over cooked my steak out of spite. I used to enjoy the tavern. 90 bucks for 3 meals and I’ll tell you what, my meal sucked. Waitress didn’t care. Undercooked veggies, overcooked steak and stale fries. Bring your money elsewhere. This place has gone way down hill.
One of the better places to go for dinner in town. Good portions, reasonable prices, and timely service. The bar also has a good atmosphere, especially during the holiday season. Shoutout to chef Paul G. that man can COOK.
This was my first time visiting the Tavern out of all of the years I’ve lived in Westfield and said I would go and today I finally went. I’m so glad I went because the service from Landon was incredible and the food was amazing. All of the people leaving negative reviews are just pessimistic and have nothing else better to do with their time. Thank you so much for your amazing service and amazing food! And thank you again Landon for everything!
We visited the tavern on a busy trivia night service was fast and pleasant! The food was incredible.... Portion sizes were huge! They're tortellini soup and garlic bread was perfect!!Food: 5/5
Had lunch there with my 90 year old hard of hearing aunt last week. Our waiter Nick was great. Very patient with her and the food was great!
Asked for medium rare to rare in the burger ended up with well done. Offered me a drink, not good enough and charged full price on a subpar meal. Will be going to 7b’s never had an issue have this place an opportunity to shine, catastrophic failure.
