First off I’d like to say the service is very good. They had plenty of staff and they were all very helpful and quick. Although I think it’s pricey I think the flavours are pretty well balanced. My favourite dish would be the Steamed Pork Ribs very juicy and tender, not too salty! My least favourite would be the Pan Fried Pork Bun… not as juicy and meaty as we would have liked. I would give a 3.5 overall. Service is very good, environment is good as well but the food can be quite a bit better at this price.
First of all the service here is amazing. Very kind and accommodating staff. I love all the dimsum here. They have all the classics and really big portions for the dim sum. Food was hot and fresh. I find it a bit pricey compared to other dim sum but the portions are definitely big.Food: 5/5
This location is a 5-minute drive from my workplace. When we get together at work; which rarely happens, it is convenient for us to order online and pickup our orders on the allotted time. The restaurant was clean and tidy, it has fast service, and good food, although a bit pricey compared to other dim sum place but their food serving is bigger compared to others which is perfect for food sharing and gathering. Plus, I find the food less oily; thus, tasting better than other dim sum places.
I been to Tasty Noodle several times, the place is always clean, very prompt with the service and food always fresh. Trust me on this. Great variety of options for a great dim sum. They offer tables from 2 to 10 people seating. Not often 10 people can sit on one table, enjoy good food and laughter. They have outdoor seating as well and on a warm day, it will be awesome to be outside. Hope you try it and let me know, if I was right of wrong. #chicocares
The quality has certainly declined over the years. It is inconsistent and would sometimes be a 2 to 3 star food quality experience. For example, their pastries are dry and lack flavor and their steamed beef ball is dense and lack flavor. It seems like there is a lot of added "filler" without much real ingredients that fill the inside of the dim sum. The beef rice roll has some beef flavor but is so thinly pressed that you may almost think you are eating a plain steamed rice roll. Their steamed BBQ pork bun is about 90% bun with little sauce and BBQ pork. Their BBQ pork pastry there is a lot of dough with the thinnest slice of BBQ pork and little to no sauce and their pan fried water chestnut cake it is about 90+% dense cake though there is a bit of diced water chestnut. You will feel full because of all the filler material which is probably a flour or other carb that is added but it is not a "good full" kind of feeling. All of these dishes suffer from lack of flavor due to the high amount of carb and filler. The cost per dish is also starting easily at about 20% higher than most other places. The restaurant itself is a nice open space.
The food was fresh, the service was good and the visit was clean. Not busy on a Friday morning at 11am and everything was fine!
Location and parking were great. They seat you distanced enough for COVID. Service was good. Dim sum was mostly fantastic, but the pricing was so steep. 3.5 if I could do half points.
The food was good and the environment was, too. However, prices are kind of high and the service was a bit slow although the place was not that crowded. I would give it 3.5
Went for dim sum and found a hair in the sticky rice. They replaced it but didn’t comp the sticky rice which I don’t think is right. Food is decent but a little on the pricier side compared to others in the area. Will not return.
I’ve been coming here for 11 years, and it’s always consistently delicious! It was my son’s first food when he was just a baby and is still his favourite, the staff always recognize us and I just love the owners : was so happy that they made it through the pandemic by discounting pick up orders it made it accessible while we were all locked down. The dim sum it’s just amazing. I was really worried when I moved from Victoria BC I wouldn’t find somewhere as good as don mees but was thrilled ! It can get pricey though, but I guess they have to keep up with inflation. Also, we still try to go as often, but we limit the amount of dishes we get now. We will continue to eat here, probably till we grow old , every time we have family coming in from somewhere else. This is the first stop.
