Amazing food and portions!!! A lot of unique items prepared here compared to most. Really enjoyed the Taro duck and sweet & sour pork. Place is serviceable.

We were sat down at a table pretty quickly and ordered food in a reasonable amount of time. After ordering the food, it took a while for the first few dishes to come out. After eating, we waited for another long while for a few more dishes to come out. In the end, we were waiting for one more dish and decided to cancel it because it took too long. There were a lot of empty tables so it didn’t make sense why the food took so long. We ordered some dim sum items and they were not that good. We also go the mapo tofu which did not taste like what I expected. The chow mein and the BBQ pork pineapple buns were good. Overall, I don’t think I would go back.

Great food ,phenomenal service, top-notch definitely going to return. The onion cakes were large Also there was a lot of Asian people in so you know it's good.

We went there yesterday for dinner. Most foods we ordered tasted good but one dish deep fried fillet cod fish recommended by a waiter was rotten. First bite I smelled it really weird then another bite I could tell it was rotten. Spoke to the waiter and he tried a bit and told us it was nothing wrong. I have very sensitive smell and taste and I could tell right from first bite it was rotten. There were three other people from our group also tasted the bad smell too. I was disappointed even though the rest of others food tasted good.

If you would like an authentic Hong Kong / South China style banquet seafood experience, this is the place to go. I don't think I exaggerate when I say the flavours are perfectly well balanced without being too pronounced nor bland - their sauces just enough corn starch with salt and garlic. A lot of restaurants err on the side of saltiness to their own detriment. This place gets it right. The seafood soups are also a great choice. Check out their newspaper ad for group dining options or current in-house specials also. TL;DR - Great service. Cozy restaurant with authentic Guangdong style banquet food as well as takeout options. Price is also on point.

We were in an unfamiliar area looking for a place to eat. We were not disappointed. We ordered the dinner for 2 which came with soup, steamed rice, 2 choice dishes and dessert. We got the Half fried chicken with garlic and salt & pepper pork. We also ordered dumplings as an appie. All food was delicious and service was amazing. We will be back.

I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend of mine. Her recommendations are always great. I've ordered from here a few times now. The food is fresh and tasty. It is worth the 20 minutes drive one way to get the food. Thanks Bai Wei!

Southside peeps, it's worth the drive. They have some very unique dishes like taro duck and their secret sauce fish fillets. I will come again despite the distance!

I grew up eating Chinese dim-sum and I must say Bai Wei restaurant’s pineapple BBQ bun is one of the best in the city. The pineapple topper is nice and crispy and the BBQ pork fillings are juicy and flavourful. The only critique I have is they could be more generous with the filling sometimes the buns are a bit hollow. Egg tarts and pork dumplings are also good picks. The egg tarts are always served steaming hot, but there may be a 15min wait time for it to be ready, so not recommended for days when you are in a hurry. Their noodles are also pretty good with generous portions, as shown in the pictures. A very good restaurant to stop by for a quick lunch, and the food is served pretty quickly when they are not busy only two servers serving the lunch hour.
