Way over priced** Beyond disappointing, especially for almost 3 dollars a taco. Meat was very bland and there was barely any onion and cilantro carnitas had zero flavor or texture, should be slightly crispy. The breakfast burrito was $10 and had no cheese or any sort of flavor outside of the sausage in it. Try La Carreta taco bus to compare flavor on the exact same style of burrito $8. The hot sauce was definitely the worst in town.. this places rating is reflective of the side of town they are located, not the actual quality of the food. I've honestly never eaten Mexican food so disappointing outside of the union market on 1st street. Places to try: La Carreta, Garcias Meat Market, Tacos las Penitas, Tacos mi Pueblo, and Morenitas.
Hands-down best tacos I've found in the Idaho Falls/Ammon area. The birria tacos at Taqueria El Rodeo are by far the best birria tacos I've had since moving here. The consome has a great flavor as well. You definitely won't be disappointed. The asada and lengua tacos are good too! Nothing is lacking in flavor, that's for sure. Prices are slightly higher than others I've had appx $2.40 per taco but worth it in my opinion. I've also had the verde enchiladas. The enchilada sauce had a slight vinegar taste to it so these weren't my favorite. The salsa bar is fantastic. There are 6 different salsa options, all ranging in spice levels. You can also find limes and radishes. The biggest downside? Taqueria El Rodeo closes at 8pm on weekdays. I have to cut it pretty close if trying to stop in on my way home after work - but it's worth it, in my opinion. The interior is kept clean and the food is served up quickly. Each time I've been here, I waited less than 15 minutes. In full honesty, I've been here more often in the last two weeks than I'd like to admit. But I can't help it...
This is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have been too since I moved here. If you have to choose a place to get great Mexican food at a reasonable cost this is the place.Food: 5/5
So my husband and I love trying new places to eat. We have lived in this area for 3 years and passed this place almost every day. Well, we finally stopped by. I'm telling you!! Oh man I was shocked at how good this food is! The salsa bar has fresh limes, and I mean fresh! Great flavors! I can make some mean Hispanic food, and this place is my go to when I don't want to cook. Just fantastic I tell you!! Tables are clean, and the ambiance is welcoming! Give it a try when you're out and about. Parking is a bit tough, but we'll worth it. Has a great ramp for the handicapped and plenty of room for wheelchairs!!
To be honest it was the worst experience I have had there. In the past was really good food. Yet today's meal left me saying I will never go back. I realize inflation every thing went up in price yet quality of meal should not go down. We had a shrimp meal that was not prepared well, had to deshell. Mushrooms were not fresh they were canned. Chicken in burrito was not de-boned
This place is pretty good. If you need something special done with your food, it's a challenge to get what you want. However, if you take your food just the way they want you to have, it's pretty good. I really enjoy getting the zopes with the Pastor meat. If you get the tacos, be warned that they are fairly small but full of flavor. Would eat again and have.
Went here with friends during lunch and they were quick to get us our food. I had the beef fajita and it was awesome. I will be back for that again.Food: 5/5
We are currently here and this place over charges way more than the menu price says items are. Some prices are $2 more than what they say on the menu. She claims they are going to fix the menu next week but highly doubt it. Won’t be returning. Contrary to what they responded they did not notify that any of the prices are incorrect. Unfortunately looking at their other reviews, THEY HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGING FOR OVER A YEAR!!! Super shady restaurant!
Literally so good, Idaho falls doesn’t have much good Mexican food but Taqueria el Rodeo does, nicest people too
Great food here and reasonably priced. Sorry for the half eaten pictures
