Someone recommended this place to me and recommend the quesotacos. They were very good, although I kind of wish I had ordered something else because I’m confident they wouldn’t have been my favorite thing on the menu I usually order Tortas when I go for Mexican food. I ordered a strawberry drink and they brought it out and it was delicious. Enough to give a 5 stars review. But apparently there was a mix up and it wasn’t the drink I paid for I didn’t know the wiser and they brought me out the correct strawberries and cream drink and it was phenomenal. So great service! I arrived a little after 11:30 on a Wednesday and the place started picking up and getting busy right after I ordered.

Pretty good place. I’m always down for an establishment with a unique layout, and this place has it. Good on the top floor, bar on ground floor, and dance floor below. I came in the afternoon for lunch with some coworkers and the food was pretty good and I got it quickly. Definitely a unique place in Idaho Falls worth checking out.

During our idaho trip we stopped and omg... the tastiest and cutest little taco spot. It has 3 floors... tacos on top, bar in middle and dance floor on bottom. Beautifully decorated and the friendliest staff. Plus they'll come down to slc to cater. #tacos #micheladas #birriatacos #aguafresca

We went for an early afternoon lunch and it was awesome! The environment is really appealing and definitely reflects the Hispanic nature of the restaurant. On the very bottom floor they have a stage for what looks like an open mike night or a band. Upstairs is the main eating area. Their menu is nice and simple to read. Once you choose your meal you order at a little window and wait to get your meal! The food was really good and very authentic. I ordered the quesadilla with Carne Asada. We also ordered a side of chips and salsa. The chips are not salted so you will have to salt them in your own but the flavors were amazing. Overall a really fun place with beautiful decorations and themes with great food. You can’t go wrong.

First time trying this place tonight and we have been missing out! The food was fantastic! Their nachos are some of the best we have had. Great tacos as well. Very clean establishment and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning!

The place looks good. I only tried the asada tacos so I can only speak to that. The tortillas were a bit dry and kind of cold. I was a bit disappointed with the tacos. The service was good though.

Delicious, authentic mexican food with huge, handmade tortillas. Carnitas burrito was delicious. Chips and salsa were up to par. Tacos hit the spot, and nachos are one of my go to orders.

Friendly intelligent staff and a selection of uniquely delicious dishes. I had the fried tacos adobada style that come with the soup to dip in and it was awesome. The pickled jalapeno carrot onion relish bar is a very good addition. And the ofrenda in the corner adds a nostalgic and authentic touch to the atmosphere.Food: 5/5

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now and finally got the chance. To say this food was freaking delicious would be an understatement. Each item had its own delicious flavor and the staff/owners were so kind and welcoming

My family loves Calakas! They service is always good and the people who work their are always so nice. The burria tacos are amazing. We have also tried the chile Verde burrito and enjoyed that. The mulita was soooooo yummy! My Mom is a picky eater and rarely eats Mexican food but loves their Shrimp and Fish tacos. If you haven't tried this food I would definitely give it a try. Also their sauces are great. My kids are light eaters but devour Calakas food and always ask to go.
