El Huarache is a mixed bag. The food is average at best but some of the specials can be quite good. Service is typically slow at lunch time if there are more than a few tables seated. The restaurant offers a selection of their homemade salsas, which is a nice difference from other local Mexican restaurants.

Absolutely great. Very authentic. Was previously in San Antonio Texas and have been looking for REAL Mexican food since I have been up here and found nothing until I came to this establishment. I'm addicted!

Great drinks and good Mexican food in a friendly setting. I went with a friend for lunch and drinks and we had a great time for a reasonable price, I’d go back for sure.

The food is amazing here. I had the wet Colorado burrito, and one of the best I've had I'm the PNW. However, the service was slow and took almost 15 minutes just to get our drink order. This is probably due to the fact that it was a Friday night and a lot of people were there. Thus the four stars. Also, there were plenty of TV's available around the restaurant to watch sports, Olympics or other channels by request. I will probably come here again in the near future.

Corn Tortillas ordered, confirmed by waitress twice but still ended up with flour. Asked for green salsa was given some kind of cucumber thing, definitely not green salsa. Shrimp was watery and not even cooked. I couldn't wait to get out off this place. I miss San Diego.
