Food was so authentic Filipino taste! We ordered coconut juice and coffee for drinks. Sinigang soup and crispy Pata for main dish with jasmine rice It was not our first time in this restaurant, and we were still delighted and satisfied
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The food is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many menu options. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Calgary. I love the service at the place and the owner chef Doods is so friendly with the guests. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Definitely a go-to place when you are in Calgary Canada. 100% the best authentic filipino resto in Canada!
A great Filipino gastropub in Calgary. Went in almost to closing time but they still served us food. Tried the Combo 4 and wasn’t disappointed. Food tastes great specially the chopsuey & sisig. Pricewise is affordable.
Simply delicious! Pricing is reasonable, and portions are just about right!Food: 5/5
Good place, very accessible just near the corner of 52nd and 17ave, across Rona. Ample parking space. Quite plenty of seats. Fast service. Friendly waitress. Good Filipino dishes, we tried their combo plus 6 cups of rice for $92 - Crispy Pata, Fried Tilapia, Pakbet, Pork Sisig, Nilagang Baka. Very tasty. Presentation was good too - you can imagine yourself eating in the middle of a rice field. The downside is when they use the ice crasher or blender it gets too noisy and you wouldn't be able to hear the person next to you - that breaks the enjoyment of eating. The menu is too large in size and content - it's really hard to choose from the long list of choices so we decided to just order the combo for the sake of time - it would be best of the menu is not overwhelming. Other than that, it was a good experience - just try it out.
The food is delicious specialy Sinigang na Bakalots of bones, Chopsuey, and Inihaw na liempo but the serving is little for the price. I am surprised to received the Chopsuey which i ordered from Skip and the serving is half the size of the regular order. The other restaurant like Chopsticks and Adobo Memorial served full size for its price of the item.
Let's start witht the positive, friendly customer service and the food tastes decent. Now the bad. The portions are humoursly poor. I got the crispy pata and there was more bone then anything. I usually get crispy pata and there's a healthy amount of meat. The meat on this made up maybe 10% of the whole thing, and it was burnt and dry. Honestly a huge disappointment and not worth it.
We ordered the BBQ platter. There were 4pcs bbq on sticks, 4pcs chicken parts, chopped pork bbq for sharing, one big fish tilapia, 5pcs mussels, veggies, and rice good for four. The fish, bbqs, and chicken taste really good. However, the nussels were a little bland. It would be nice if the mussels were drizzled with bbq sauce as well, same sauce used on the pork bbq or the one on sticks. Even though the food here taste good. We never had the chance to get more water, we only had one glass each of us and the servers where nowhere to be found to ask for assistance. We waited patiently but in the end we never received great service. We were thirsty. That's all, thank you.
Really authentic, no-fuss Filipino restaurant that serves all the favorites. We had Crispy Pata, Sisig and Lumpiang Sariwa the first time we went there. The Crispy Pata was TO DIE FOR. The dishes were so good we had to go back a second time before leaving Calgary!
