Probably the best Indian food you will find in GTA. Really authentic flavours which reminded me of my roots in India. The presentation or plating is absolutely stunning. The spices used are almost surreal as they make the nostalgic connections come alive at an entirely different level. The service could definitely be better but they were still decent and courteous.. just a bit slow and forgetful of cutlery. The atmosphere is really nice and the food quality and menu options are the best highlights of the place which makes this an excellent choice for a great meal.
Really enjoyed our dinner Tamarind. The food was very well made and portion size was good. We requested that all dishes we ordered be mild and they did a good job accommodating us. The service was friendly and loved the live entertainment that was playing. Overall a good experience and I would recommend this restaurant.
Not sure about the bad reviews, but for us on a weekday lunch, food and service both were top notch. Veg galauti slider was unbelievable. Also the Lamb Rogan Josh, though we wanted to make it mild, they somehow made it Soo flavourful. Food came right on time, highly satisfied.
This is my number one live music lounge to hangout romantically as well as with friends!!!! The band is amazing and they know how to keep their audience engaged.nnThe food is delicious and good portions too! The desserts are a must to try out
Seeing such good reviews, I was excited to try the food at Tamarind. Sadly, it didn’t hit the spot.nnThe murgh malai tikka was quite tasteless, and the green chutney was essential to making it have some taste. The paneer was quite hard and didn’t seem fresh. The methi malai chicken was decent, but would’ve been much nicer if it was just methi chicken without the malai. The breads were done well.nnOverall, my parting thoughts are that the naan and roti were the best parts of the meal, which is a sad thing to say about the restaurant - not the authentic taste I grew up eating. My white girlfriend enjoyed the meal though.
