Saravana Bhavan has a name of its own in India and they are present in more than 20 countries across the world. I have been to this restaurant once, back in India and had liked the vegetarian meal. But didn't experience the same here in Mississauga, Canada. Had been here for lunch on a Sunday, and it was pretty crowded. Had to wait for a while for the table. The staff were courteous but the service was a bit slow. We ordered special soup and it was very similar to madam. Took special & quick meals and they were average in taste but the quantity was as the name says. Kara masala dosey was okay. Gobi manchurian dry wasn't good. Butter Milk was a disaster. Filter coffee was better comparatively. Finally, beeda was beeda. Not sure if I'm going to visit again.
Firstly want to mention kavin we were disappointed and headed back to our car as there was not spot left but he sent one of the staff to our car and called us back and made sure that the we got a spot for dine in we were very happy and the food was just delicious. South Indian food is heavenly as always the customer service is best , everyone was well groomed highly recommend . Just have some patience and plan before hand so that you get to dine in
Best Dosas in Mississauga!nnI tried their kara masala dosa, idly & vada combo and had their Payasam for dessert. The Dosa was large and filled right to the edges with delicious kara masala. It wasn’t oily at all. Idly & vada combo was a great starter, plenty to eat but didn’t fill you up too much before the Dosa. Plenty of chutneys to dip the starter and the dosa in.nnThe Payasam was so refreshing and not too sweet, really completed the meal.nnStaff were excellent, service was quick, cold water right when you sit down, lots of seating and good parking.
I really enjoyed the food and they were delicious. But this place was too crowded and had to wait for 30mins on busy days.nWe ordered dosa, idly, parotta and some other foods . The staff was friendly.
