Story

Take Your Pick Flower Farm is one of the premier flower farms in Upstate New York, serving the Ithaca Finger Lakes region. In 2010 we were selected as one of the Top 10 Pick Your Own Flower Farms in the country by Birds & Blooms magazine. What a rush! Since then we have expanded to include a weekly summer Flower CSA (subscription service), DIY and full-service event and wedding flowers, a farmers' market and classes in flower arranging. In 2017 we partnered with Ability in Bloom, a dynamic, horticulture-based social enterprise of Challenge Workforce Solutions. We are helping to provide jobs for a committed group of adults and teenagers with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

The farm has close to a ½ acre of annual and perennial flowers to choose from. All of our flowers are grown at our Lansing gardens. We practice organic growing methods and do not use any herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers that are not certified organic.

Our flower season runs from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.r. You can come to our gardens and pick flowers to create your own beautiful bouquets or call ahead and we can create a lovely bouquet or arrangement for you. Feel free to bring the family. Children are always welcome in the cutting garden. Linda also welcomes you to stop by and just stroll through the cutting garden to de-stress, relax and get in touch with nature. You will be surprised how rejuvenated you feel after only a short time among the flowers and fresh air.
