New owners make delicious veg thali which changes daily. We stop by whenever we are in Stoney Creek for lunch and take home a dozen excellent samosas they freeze well if we haven't eaten them all in 3 days. Good quality and the spices are just right.The store has many spices, Asian foods from rice to teas to sweets, essential oils and many other items.

We have ordered lunch twice from Taj and one time Samosas and pakoras. Everything was freshly made, well done, spices were perfect. Amazing ppls and delicious foods. Definitely will recommend to try. After long wait we have option to use for vegetarian foods. Thank you Taj.

My dad showed me this place years ago, it was the ONLY place he got ”fresh” somosas but now, definitely frozen. since the old man has left for what ever reason the quality of food and especially the service has gone to the waste side, bring back the old man * edited* definitely got a complete reboot. A little bit on the pricey side and there Switz dough just dodny hit the same but, I saw the response and was sort of mixed about it. I had found a new place to get fresh handmade samosas, but on the contrary this place definitely has earned respect

Amazing food and top notch customer service! During my first visit, I didn't realize the restaurant was under new ownership which meant the menu was totally different. I was unfamiliar with the new dishes and told the owner to surprise me! He surprised me with Veg Thali and it was outstanding! On my second visit, I got the Veg Thali again but it was different as they change it up roughly every 2 weeks brilliant!. I had the Channa Bhatura today and it's definitely the goto. There are so many flavours battling for real estate on your tongue! All of the staff have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend going there for a quick lunch takeout and for your everyday purchases as their prices are on point!

The food was very good and the man that served me was very polite. I would suggest adding a spice level option on the Skip menu as it was a little mild but overall great experience!

We came for the first time here last week, ordered two thali lunch take aways- these came with three different curries, two roti and rice for ten bucks! The curries were all delicious: we had a shahi matar paneer peas, tomato and cheese cubes, aloo gobi potato and cauliflower, and bharta roasted eggplant and onions. All were very well prepared and tasty. The value here at Taj was excellent as portion sizes were good. We also had some sweets: these were all fresh and flavourful- not just sugary. Samosas were terrific- really the best anywhere we've ever had- with a nice thin crust and ample tasty filling. Good chutneys too! NB the restaurant is takeout only. We will definitely be coming back for more. Recommend you give this place a try for really the best Indian vegetarian food anywhere near Hamilton. Vegetarian options: All meals or sweets are vegetarian. Parking: Many spots in front.

Bought vegetarian samosas today from them ....I have to say very very good ...I only go to A1 if you know what that is in mississauga these are on the same level...very authentic ...absolutely delicious

I visited reopened Taj restaurant with my friends.We ordered Samosas and sweets. We really loved it. Its really fresh and very delicious.Good stuffing and i really like to visit again

I have ordered samosas for me and my friends and it was really tasty and their customer service is really good. The owner of this restaurant is a friendly man. I must recommend to visit this place for Indian cuisine.

I enjoyed the food, dal makhni was appetizing, it was made as per instructions, presentation was good. Other than that grocery store was organized well. I recommend visiting this place once.
