I always hate to pile on, but yeah… I just wasn’t impressed. I really wanted to be. I grew up around taco trucks and taquerias, so when they were brought to my area on a semi consistent basis by a local neighbor that organized it, I was optimistic. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t do it for me. I felt like the meat was sub par. Like the seasoning was okay, but the cut seemed lower quality and the onions were not diced enough like the prep cook was cutting corners. I don’t know. I love me some tacos, so I’d eat there in a pinch again, and it’s not like I threw them out… but would I seek them out in an area with options? Not a chance! Especially for $3 a taco. Sorry fellas. Hope you take this review for what it is, but looking at previous responses to reviews, it doesn’t seem as though constructive criticism is welcomed. Just my 2 cents. All I had were tacos so maybe other items are better??? Good Luck.
I keep hoping they will up their food standards but honestly, this spot is a "skip" in my book. I hate saying that as this is likely a small business in need of support but based on the years of iffy reviews they've received and zero effort to improve, I don't feel quite that bad... If you're craving a taco, drive a bit up the hill to Corazon Azteca and skip the mediocrity and low key awfulness of Tacos El Guero.... not worth it at all which is a bummer as they are my closest taco spot.
Was pretty good! Feel home sick or want to try some good mexican food? This is a good place to eat. The burrito is huge, asked for the beef "burrito mojado" comes with rice and beans inside. Pretty good and filling : EDIT: Got some tacos this time, some tongue and tripitas and omg they were as hard as rubber or plastic : I am so sad. I had liked their Burrito Mojado last time so I was hoping their tacos were good too but you can tell they keep the meats for tacos warm either by lamp all day or something cause they are tasteless, RUBBERY HARD, and tiny!! Unfortunately I will not be coming here again, at least not for the tacos at ALL. Porfavor preparen los tacos un poco mas frescos por que estan super secos y la carne esta super dura y seca.
These are some of the worst tacos we’ve had. The meat was so incredibly dry and the beef was so bad we had to throw it away, and it only took him 2 minutes to assemble 5 tacos so the meat was definitely sitting out all day… hopefully we don’t get sick from it. Not to mention it’s $9 for 3 tacos which is absurd for the horrible quality- do yourself a favor and go to the Los Chilangos food truck down the street in downtown Kirkland instead! $7.50 for 3 tacos and amazing quality!
I had a Burrito. It was impressively large and tasted good. I was frustrated that there was no Sour Cream on it as stated when I ordered. Also, the burrito is not wrapped very tight and make for eating very difficult.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Love this place! Great tradition Mexican fare done well. The tacos are the best deal going.
New owner. The burrito rice was hard and seemed frozen. There was almost no meat in the burrito and only rice. No hot sauce. The tamale was dry. I was told chicken, I'm pretty sure it was pork. It used to be good with a different owner. It's not good now.
Taco truck. Went yesterday. Ordered one wet burrito with no cilantro it tasted like soap to me. The cashier said my total was $12.00. I handed her a $20. She didn’t have change and asked if I could pay with a card, so I use a card. I get charged an additional $1.21 I’m assuming is the card fee. She didn’t tell me the total changed. I just noticed with the notification came. I waited 30 minutes to get my burrito... It had little flavor, mostly just tasted the onions.
A taco truck parked next to a grass driving range golf COUNT ME IN! The food was good but the chips!! If nothing else get the chips and salsa. Chips are made to order and salsa is fresh and delicious! Giving a solid 5 for location, and the chips!
Two stars for friendly service. Chorizo and pastor okay, higher priced "steak" ground beef not good at all. Despite it being 85° outside, food was not very hot and yet meat overcooked Pre-shredded cheese never melted — but I don't normally see this kind of cheese on tacos except at taco bell. I have paid the same price for tacos with handmade corn tortillas in Seattle, just hoping to find a good taco truck on the Eastside and disappointed this one so close to home is not it for me. Glad they have a strong following though, I was recommended by someone who loves them!
