Update: I emailed the Taco John's through the website and got a response around 5 days later. I was granted a free combo meal. When I went to the window to order, they ensured that my items were made fresh and hot. It was so tasty! It kind of made up for it, but unfortunately they only offered the free combo at the Maple Grove location only. That is at least 25 minutes from my house, and I just happened to be in the area the first time I stopped. Kind of disappointed by that aspect of it as they were the ones that messed up. Original review: I love love love Taco John's. I've been a lifelong customer. But I left disappointed the other day. I ordered a meat and potato burrito combo with fried chicken and an extra large potato ole. That all came to $16. The burrito, when I took it out of the bag, was so small. It was like a value menu burrito size, if even that. I was like um what? I opened it out of curiosity because there is NO WAY it should be that tiny. There were only two strips of chicken and NO potatoes. And the other toppings were very sparse like the lettuce and tomato. The potato oles I ordered were filled very sparingly as well, compared to what they used to be. You are NOT going to stay in business charging people $16 for value menu portions of food. That is ridiculous. I lodged a complaint through the website as well but have received zero response. I was ripped off, and I should be made whole. There is no way I am going to tell employees face to face, who handle my food, that they screwed up, since said food can be tampered with easily.
We really enjoyed the food. We don't care for the setting so hard like sitting on a log or rock I get it don,t stay to long I've never been there were there's only been a few people have been there. The other trouble I have is your rewards it's very hard to use we spent 32.34 and only could count 7.31 on the rewards points and only get one small breakfast reward item thanks.
Unfortunately, this is not a positive review of TJs. We ordered customized nachos on the app for pick up. When we arrived to say we had an online pickup, we were immediately scolded that our order wasn’t ready yet. That’s not a problem especially in these times when employees are scarce. I just wish we weren’t treated in such a rude disrespectful manner. When we got home our nachos were not made to order. We asked for extra meat and cheese with sour cream. Instead we got beans, tomatoes and guacamole none of which were included in our customized order. We also did not get extra meat. I can’t eat tomatoes so we called the store to see if they could make us another order that we could pick up. The man was unreasonably rude and cut us off to say he made the order and he specifically put extra meat and cheese on it. Please see the above pic and decide for yourself if it looks like extra meat and cheese. We were also accused of lying. We asked why he had to be rude about it and why were tomatoes on it. Couldn’t he just apologize and make a new order for us? He said that their system somehow magically added tomatoes, beans and guacamole to the order. When someone is that rude and illogical it’s not worth trying to speak logically to him. Be ware if something is wrong with your order because they will treat you as if it is your fault and not theirs.
Love their taco chicken salad, also tried taco fish. Food are good and pocket friendly. Service was good. You can dine in too.
Good place for quick bite... Tators were over season though. Sauce could be hotter but otherwise good eats.
six pack and a pound, I remember when it costs $6. oh well, the food here is still awesome I love me some taco johns! Yummy!
My first time trying Taco John’s and I was pleasantly surprised. I would eat there again.
Five stars for service. For a fast food restauant, they were quick and polite. Minus a star for the food itself. Potato Oles are nice. Everything else on the menu is bland and boring. Their hours are shorter than Taco Bell's as well. There's a Taco Bell right across the street. You're better off going there. Save a couple bucks too.
I lived near the location for a few years. Never saw anyone there. I decided to try it and all I can say is I gave it one star for the Pepsi. Seriously the absolute worst fast food I’ve ever had. It hit the garbage almost immediately. Not even edible or worth the calories. How bad could a quesadilla be? And a burrito? Tasteless. Dry. Horrible. Not even recognizable. Don’t waste your money or your time at Maple Grove location. Vile.
Staff is always nice. Orders are done well and tastes good. Like to frequent this restaurant :
