Local Fast Food Review I know it's hard to believe, but I've only been to a @tacojohns once before a good ten years prior And when it comes to fast food "Mexican " options this one never really is at the forefront of my mind ...but it should be. Our #forestlakemn TJs is what you would expect taste-wise for fast-food-Mexican but a little more fresh than the other Mexican fast food chain down the road. Additionally, their service was outstanding The high-school students who worked there were amazing & professional. This is the finest-run fast food establishment I’ve ever come across, due to excellent management and a solid built, well trained, positive-attitude team. Dawn’s leadership should be studied by Taco John’s “corporate,” or every fast food chain, to be honest. This team will go above and beyond and consistently leave customers feeling appreciated. My husband and I have never experienced such consistent, accurate, and legitimately pleasant service as we have across multiple repeat visits to the Forest Lake TJ location. Keep up the great work! P.S. - thanks for making my family breakfast this morning when you’d nearly run out of supply just before the end of the Sunday breakfast cut-off. One more example of superb service!
Always better than Taco Bell. Wish the prices was a little lower but everyone is taking advantage of the consumer now and using the Covid supply chain stuff.
They do an amazing job here. They have always gotten my order correct every single time. Unlike the other taco joint that has a bell that always messes up and basically steals from customers. Only down side is they do run out of common ingredients such as rice an beans.. kind of annoying
I love the beef taco salad! The bowl is light and flakey and delicious. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. Delicious!
Probably the best Taco John's I have ever been in! The food was terrific, the place was super clean, and the staff were friendly and made for a pleasant experience. I went there specifically to try the Mango Shrimp Taco I love mango but my brain couldn't handle the combination of flavors in the form of a soft taco! It was delicious, but I had to disassemble it and eat it with a fork!
Taco John's has always been a favorite of mine. But they've exceeded my expectations every time I've been there recently while almost all other fast food has come up way short. Great service. Great food. Reasonably priced.
It looked like they poured grease in the bag. I brought this food home for a friend and I. It was so embarrassing to have a lake of grease. It’s just blatant no one cared at all. Management should be embarrassed.
We stopped in for a late lunch on New Year's Day and ordered two vegetarian Taco salads. The boyfriend was pleasantly surprised that the woman working gave him two bean options please know that asking for meatless accommodations can be tricky at times. When the boyfriend got back to the car he mentioned that he was impressed with how professional the woman at the counter was. He also complimented the taco shell being the best he has had at a Taco John's in a long time.
Taco John's is a unique place a sea of monotonous fast food that is Forest Lake. The grilled taco, Potato Oles and rediculously large drink cups are what keep me coming back. They also still have a dollar menu. Check out the $1 chicken quesadilla! Perfect size for kiddos. The last time, the manager gave our kids little packages or cookies, free of charge. It added such a nice, personal touch to our visit. You don't get that at most fast food places.
