A lovely site and the owner, Emma, was incredibly helpful. I have a micro-camper so needed somewhere with a toilet and shower. They were clean and well-functioning. I had the whole place to myself which was amazing! Well, it was me and two owls! I fully intend to stay again but I'll have to bring a spare SIM as mine using the Vodafone network had no reception there. Still five stars; it's easy enough to get a spare SIM. Restrooms: One male, one female plus showers. Picnic area: Small picnic area with benches
A lovely, quiet, fairly level campsite. Modest but adequate facilities. Surrounded by fields with sheep and horses and crows. Good pub just a few minutes walk away with excellent food selection, real ales and ciders. Good base for walking over the heathland to the sea. Thanks Emma & Michael.
Thanks alot for two great nights of camping. Lovely clean site, decent all electric pitches, we asked to move to the edge under the trees. Emma was kind enough to let us move, keeping our tent nice and cool during the night. Local pub was good too, friendly service. Would recommend!
Well, lovely quiet camp site, showers very good and clean, toilets very clean,Emma very nice lady, spoke to us when she was there doing her horses,5mins walk up the road to the lion pub,and the food there was unbelievable So all in all had a fantastic week at Sycamore Camp Site and wished we had booked two weeks
Lovely small clean campsite. We were lucky to have the pitch overlooking the fields with the sheep and horses.
Lovely peaceful well run site. Very clean facilities and easy access to Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Yoxford, Framlingham etc.
A lovely site, reasonably quiet. Only downside might not be enough toilet facilities at busy times. Also the foot path to the pub in none existent in parts and is a tiny bit scary on dark evenings
I am a little reluctantly writing this review as I would quite like to keep this site a secret. Stayed just one night recently but will definitely be back. The site is quiet and well maintained and the setting is beautiful- waking up to the sound of nothing but the dawn chorus is a treat. Communication about booking was excellent and when we had to cancel at short notice due to a broken down van the owners immediately offered to transfer our deposit to another date. Showers and toilets are very good. To top it all there is a friendly pub with good food and beer just a few minutes walk down the road. This is our favourite site on our travels so far.
Stayed for 4 days with friends. Nice quiet site but really needs more toilets & showers, only 1 for each sex. Good base for visiting Minsmere nature reserve & other local attractions. Road is quiet busy, even at night theirs quiet a bit of traffic noise. Nowhere to walk from site, even dogs have to be walked round camping field. Pitches reasonably spacious so not on top of your neighbour. Grass could have done with being cut, it was quite long so your feet got soaked going to toilets at night as no paths. Nice site for weekends.
Small adult only, dog friendly site, hardstanding pitches with electric. No dog run, so had to walk the dogs around the site or along the main road. Spotlessly clean and well kept, close to Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and quaint chocolate box villages near the sea. Great pub five minutes walk with a bear garden. We had a very large dank, dark pitch underneath dense trees, so consequently didn't see any sun all week and were informed in the literature not to sunbath on pitches that weren't in use...due to covid restrictions?
