Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

They said they were extremely busy and my meal would take an additional 10 minutes. I sat in a completely dead parking lot waiting for curbside pickup. After waiting in my car over 30 minutes I went in and she lied and said she didn't have my order. I insisted and showed her the text they sent me as well as my online order. She checked and it was just sitting there waiting for nearly 40 minutes. I then waited while they made fresh fries because the ones they first made went cold while I waited in my car for them. When we opened the chicken it was absolutely disgusting and soaping wet about a centimeter of white goo on the bottom of the box. They also forgot butter.

I am usually not one to complain about service, but the hostess here was awful tonight. We were not greeted by her when we came in. We went in with a reservation for 10 and said that we needed one high chair, rolled her eyes and said how many. She took us to our table, there was no cutlery. It took about 15 minutes for her to bring the high chair. We then asked if we could have some cutlery, she came back and pretty much tossed it on the table. She was walking around just looking miserable. I went to use the washroom, she looks right at me and then walks right into me. She did not apologize but one of the other servers apologized for her. Swiss Chalet is my favourite restaurant, but this has just given me a bad taste for this restaurant. Our server Alden was wonderful though! he was very fast and efficient. Very nice guy!!
The absolute worst. Ordered a take out dinner for two people an hour in advance. Upon arriving they had no such order, I could wait and they would get to it. I left and called customer service. After three attempts with customer service I gave up as they kept timing out and I would have to call back. Everyone was always very sorry, but no resolution, as no one ever completed the call. I gave up. Run from Swiss Chalet, 506 Hespeler Road, Cambridge, Ont. They are absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. In the end we went back to our old faithful Chinese Restaurant. Called order in from parking lot of Swiss Chalet, drove to it picked it up and thoroughly enjoyed it. Run from Swiss Chalet as fast as you can. UPDATE I have responded to Swiss Chalet request , with their request for more info. By replying to their feedback. They had pretty much all the information already. They received 1 star on everything. If I could give negative stars I would. I am interested to see if anything happens. I think more reviewers should update their response when they receive a feedback number from Swiss Chalet.
Double leg dinners should be juicy not dry and the chicken pot pie wasn't good either on delivery. Portions were small for what they charge which is outrageous now basically 18 bucks for 2 drumsticks and some fries and a hard dry roll. Lost me as a customer going forward after that 85 dollar disaster.
I wish zero stars was an option. I usually order via Ubereats however after this location lost my $100 order staff told me to call the store directly or come in to place an order. This time I went to TWO locations and My experience this new year was nothing short of awful I waited over 10 minutes to be served while what looked like management looked directly at me and remained on his cell phone. I was the only person in the carry out room. After an awkward wait I left. I went to the second location in my city on Dundas. Again the I waited at least 5 minutes to be served yet being the only one in the pick up lounge. After staff cashed out 2 hours before close I was served, waited 20 minutes for one meal. When I got home to my surprise I received dried out old vegetable medley greasy chicken and stale fries. I couldn’t even fix it with an air fryer. Extremely disappointed. Definitely will be calling customer service tomorrow to share my experience. I hope these Cambridge locations do better this new year.
Great fresh food as usual. Victoria was awesome! She was attentive and on top of every table and their needs. Very friendly. A pleasure to have lunch here.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN!!! Our server placed piping hot Chalet Sauce right in front of my 11 month old daughter who scalded three of her little fingers when she went to explore what was in front of her! Not one staff member came to our aid; a patron beside us handed us their glass of iced water to cool our poor baby’s burn. Another guest offered to take care of our bill since compensation wasn’t even offered by the restaurant. No incident report has been filed either. I’ve contacted head office three times without any response or explanation. Worst experience dining in a restaurant in my life. The incompetencies of the staff and the lack of response from the establishment is abhorrent.
I have never been impressed by this location but give in and ordered from there the other day... Still not impressed! Ordered a kale salad... Kale sprinkled on top of iceberg maybe? And of course everything else all was cold again but not late, missing one side, never ever a good experience with this location. 2019 Give it another go recently... really wanted try the crispy chicken! black curly hair stuck right on the sandwich! Gross! I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. 2021
Horrible experience. We were given the wrong order of which was realized once home, waited a long time on the phone on hold, returned to the location for them to tell us it wasn’t ready. Spoke to 2 managers, neither of whom apologized once. The second manager needs to take a customer service lesson from his high school employees the only ones apologetic and that actually listened. Long time customers, will never be going back.
