One of edmontons best donair shops. The staff is really friendly. The service is really quick and the food is super yummy.. Stopped in today.. ordered the super donair combo with cheese.. omg. What a beautiful donair. From the first bite to the last. You won't be disappointed.. fries are amazing. Dine in or take-out. Make sure that you check the richards donair on north side edmonton. You will definitely be going as I will be.. thanks again
I've been going to this Donair shop for 20 years. I am always consistently happy with the portions I recieved. The way the meat is seasoned is one of the reasons I've been going to this shop for so long.
Terrible. Fries and donair was barely warm even though we were eating inside. Donair meat and sauce had no flavour. I will never return.
I've called your restaurant 8 times, no answers ever. How am I supposed to order a donair? No one can pick up a phone? You don't want my business? Please fix this
I worked at pizzahut store near their store , so we usually order from richards , fries wrap is my fav one , really everyone loves it at our pizzaplace .
Excellent food! I am confused why people go to DQ or McD for a burger when this is a block away. Why buy fake food that doesn't expire McD! and been proven when you can get a sesame see bun throw an extra patty for 2$ and all the fresh condiments they put on at Richards and there is no contest but people are programmed I guess? The burger is literally homemade at Richards. They deserve 5 star :
This is my go-to Donair Shop. Close to my house and has great donair's. So good in fact, that every time i go there, i think maybe a should try something else this time. But i walk thru the door, and nope, straight back to wanting a donair. hahaha
Richard's Donair & Sub offers a decent donair but a below average poutine. Donair: Could benefit from a steamed pita, diced onions and tomatoes instead of sliced, and stronger sweet sauce was basically just watered down condensed milk. Still tasty, but better options such as Swiss or Eddie's Donair are nearby. Poutine: Weak tasting gravy and cheese curds that don't squeek when you bite them, which is usually an indication of frozen curds. However, I do applaud Richard's for ACTUALLY using curds, while most other donair shops sell poutines with a picture including curds but serve shredded cheese instead. Despite the critique, it's still a poutine, so it's obviously still dece. The service was friendly and the food was fine enough that I could see myself returning if nearby, but overall, Richard's was just your average neighborhood greasy spoon.
I went to try the Donair Poutine only asking for it not telling them how i preferred it. Maybe i should have asked for tomatoes and onions on it. Not sure thats normal either. But it does not come with that on it. I prefer hand cut strips. But this has the rotary knife thin slices which are long. Some very long. I myself would have preferred hand cut and smaller fork bite sizes. But thicker donair meat to bite into. The portion is spot on. the taste i think is missing something. There is crisp bits of donair. Not my fave but if Thats what you like then you can expect that.
I been coming to this place since I was in high school over 6 years ago. Tried a lot of donair places in the city but Richard’s Donair is absolutely the best.
