Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

The food was good, little smaller portion that i hope. What i really wanted to share was my experience paying for the bill. I would recommend NOT to pay with your scene points. I'm actually glad that i was the one working on the POS machine instead of the waitress because she may have just said, she misread my points and i didn't know what my points i had before since i didn't know or remember swiss chalet was a scene partner haven't used this card in ages. The machine came up with errors. I saw the points I had before the error and after the error and it totalled the subtraction of the amount that was supposed to be redeemed. At the end i had to pay the full price. I Explained the situation to the manager but as i expected, they suggest i call scene to deal with this instead of maybe checking what went wrong with the machine. Scene confirmed the transaction of my points were redeem at this location. So they added back the points to my account for the swiss chalet machine error. I did ask scene rep to maybe contact the manager or at least figure out this issue so it doesn't help to other people in the future, its an inconvenent. I don't know if they will do anything so i decided to just review this swiss chalet and hope it can help others to be careful at this location. I don't know how the points work but if i paid full price and swiss chalet took my redeemed points, they gained from it then right? they got themselves a big tip then i think?
We haven't been there for awhile but it will be a long time before we go back. The prices have gone way up to where it is no longer a good deal for what you get. The French fries are not the same, they tasted like McCains frozen fries that were smaller and even the sauce was thinner. The chicken was dry and the ribs were too sweet with very little meat on the bones. For the price, you can go to a restaurant that doesn't have screaming kids and loud atmosphere.
Not bad! Food was okay. I have had better at this restaurant, perhaps just me. Staff are friendly and polite, however we were left standing and waiting for someone to greet and seat us.. First world problems...nnOnce again, this restaurant needs a refresh in the interior...once again, maybe just me...
Swiss Chalet has long been a favourite for me and my wife. Lately, we have been disappointed with the service and food at a few other locations. Our faith in Swiss Chalet was restored by this visit. Our server was fast and efficient, and our food arrived quickly. It was hot and delicious. We were travelling, and very pleased with the whole experience.
Been a long time customer as a lot if people have. I realize things are more expensive but they have gone too far now. The chicken sandwich in a Kaiser has changed names because it’s no longer on a Kaiser. It’s on a smaller roll and literally might have 2 ozs of chicken on it. So small and disappointing. It would be fine I guess if it was 9.99 but it’s 16$.nWhat an absolute rip off.nServer was nice at least.nMy lunch’s out will no longer be at Swiss chalet.
