Sweetbean Cafe & Bakery

This is a great little cafe with super-friendly service; great soups, salads, and sandwiches; and good coffee. They truly seem to care about their customers, which I experienced firsthand when I had lunch there today. I ordered one of their newer menu items (an Asian noodle salad with chicken) and they asked me what I thought of it and if I would change anything. The salad was delicious as is, as was the drip coffee I ordered. I didn't order any baked goods, but my niece and nephew really enjoyed their cookies. Sweet Bean is definitely worth a visit!

I thought the baked goods were overpriced. Typical selection. Small portions for the money. The muffins were dry, as was the carrot cake. The cinnamon rolls were fresh, though not any better than I could make at home for way less. When I asked about the maple bacon cupcakes I had heard about locally, the help told me call in a large order or go on facebook???? The quality of the food speaks volumes about a bakery, not how well connected to social media you are.

Please don't let this place fail! Good sandwiches, great coffee, greater cakes and pastries! And I think I dropped the ball by not getting soup... Looks delicious! And if you've been drinking black for too long and don't remember how to order coffee, just read the chalkboard menu! All the information is there.

Great place for coffee break and bakery treats. Lunch is great also.
