Sweet Lorraine's Cafe & Bar

I have to question how this place is recommended as a great Mac and cheese in the area. This cost $9! It had one scoop of liquid cheese added and I was going to ask for more but it cost $1 extra. I carried it directly out to my car to taste and the cheese on top is just a lump. No seasonings, not bread crump/chip topping. Don’t understand why it cost so much . Wasn’t anything to recommend either it’s simple. I wish I’d read these review before I went.

Their Mac and cheese looked so good but my son who is 10 months old and wants to share everything I have is severely allergic to dairy. I asked if they have a dairy free option because you just never know especially in a big city. She said she did not BUT the owner went above and beyond for my son. She offered freshly boiled noodles that wouldn't have any cross contamination and some marinara sauce as well. My momma heart felt so seen and loved in that moment. She never once made me feel like a burden which happens alot when I request dairy free. She actually seemed happy that she had something she was able to offer. And since she gave me a little bit for my little guy I was able to indulge for myself. I had the macho nacho mac-n-cheese and my friend had the BLT. Both were so good! We're from out of town but if and when we come back we'll definitely treat ourselves to the delicious mac-n-cheese. Thank you so much for doing a little extra so my son could enjoy as well!

O M G. If you are a lover of Mac n cheese like I am, you must and I mean MUST hit up sweet lorraine's if you are ever in the area. There are so many variations to choose from, but being in the detroit area I had to go with the coney dog mac n cheese. Absolutely incredible and I look forward to going back ASAP. 10/10 would recommend to any and all!

i love this gosh darn place. the people who work here are ALWAYS so sweet even when they are SUPER BUSY!!! i love the mac and cheese too its so cheesy and yummy. if you love mac and cheese try this place its awesome

Just horrible. All of it. The customer service, the food etc. At the time i went their was two younger girls, who were super rude, sarcastic and laughed at everything we said. There was also a middle aged man, who was even more rude and childish. Gave rude/sarcastic remarks over asking about a certain pita they sold. Never used one single manner. He was mad that i asked for one extra napkin etc. i should’ve walked away when they were rude asking what we wanted and made our food. After all of that. The mac and cheese was HORRIBLE. Cheese looked chunky and old. The chicken looked purple and black. The pita we couldn’t even eat bc we lost our appetite but it also looked disgusting! Now it’s been 2 days and me & my sister both have food poisoning. We were the only ones to eat this food out of the whole family and we are the only ones throwing up non stop. Shame. Shame. Shame.

We had lunch today and it was fantastic. There was only one person working but she was working so hard and was so friendly! Would highly recommend and I hope she finds help soon!

The ladies working here couldn't have been nicer. Sadly, I've come to expect and accept mediocre to poor customer service but these ladies were so friendly, they answered all my questions and explained everything they offered. It really made my day to just have a pleasant customer service interaction. I got the chicken wing wrap and didn't see any nasty chicken as mentioned in other reviews and I am PICKY about meat. Also the plain mac n cheese was delicious according to me and my 3 year old! It's been years since I visited but I'll be back soon!

This has to of been the best food court experience I can imagine. The chicken wrap was easily the best I’ve ever had, while having quality Mac and Cheese on the side, along with amazing service? What negatives are there? Amazing job to the ladies working when my mom and I came by, definitely a must have if you are in the Great Lake Crossings Mall

I usually go here on my break because the line is usually short, but lately it seems like minimal effort goes into making the mac and cheese and some of the ingredients don’t taste anywhere near to fresh. The staff members are friendly but it’s hard for me to eat my mac and cheese when the chicken is black/green. I usually get the buffalo chicken mac which I used to love getting but now it’s not as good anymore.
