Sweet Home On The Lake

What a gem! Love the bakery/coffee shop/boutique/local groceries. The space is beautiful, with a great collection of local goods, plants, kids items, personal care items, and women's clothing. The iced coffee is the best we've ever had we drink decaf and had to ask a couple of times that it was actually decaf because it tasted so good! We tried the cupcakes and butter tarts and they were also tasty.

I have been coming to sylvan my entire life, and this is the cute small town store that the town needed. Not only does it have tasty treats and drinks, but the clothing in the boutique is stunning, and exceptionally priced! This store makes me very proud of sylvan, I will be visiting it whenever I am town and taking everyone there that visits with me! I would say, the london fog latte was a bit weak, should probably have two tea bags for the larger sizes.

Sweet Home is my favourite little gem in Sylvan Lake. I’ve enjoyed many afternoons sitting on their beautiful waterfront balcony, sipping lattes and devouring their delicious goodies. Their cupcakes are divine and the macarons from Queen Bee are without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had! The boutique upstairs has a wide selection of trendy clothing and jewelry as well as locally crafted home decor. Right now we are in December and they are all dressed up in sparkling lights for the upcoming holidays. With Christmas Town on the Pier in full swing, it’s a winter wonderland in Sylvan Lake and a absolutely wonderful destination for the whole family.

Best patio location in Sylvan Lake, right on the lake walk beside the pier. Perfect little cafe to sip their latte’s and enjoy their fresh baking or breakfast sandwiches.

This place is a hidden gem. The view is relaxing. I really loved it. The girls there are so nice and extremely friendly. And although the place is usually busy and always full of customers, the girls are handling the pressure in a very professional and friendly way. They are always SMILING. The paninis are so yummy.. small but delicious.

I really wanted to give five stars but wasn’t happy with quite a few things. The location and the lake is beautiful. The idea of cafe with a boutique is also very trendy and a great idea. However, the cost of the cafe items vs how much you get is a rip off. Also, bought the mini cupcakes to try different flavours but they ALL tasted the same even though they were decorated differently and looked like different flavours. Also, the mini cupcakes seem like mini mini cupcakes and for $1 per cupcake it wasn’t worth it. Parking: Free parking for customers Dietary restrictions: Gluten options

I popped in with a friend this week and it was my first time in the store. I didn't realize that it's right on the water so at first I was worried about getting my stroller into the store however thankfully they have a ramp by the front door. Upon walking in my first impression was wow! The space is beautiful with stunning views, I didn't try anything at the cafe but it looked adorable. I appreciate that there was space for a stroller to move around, they have a small children's section on the lower level that I hope they expand but what I wasn't prepared for was the customer service; it was FANTASTIC. 10 stars across the board from every single staff member I came into contact with on both levels of the store. Everyone was VERY friendly and sweet and so so so helpful. I had my 2 toddlers with me and they were very excited and running around. The staff kept them busy with colouring and games and treats and I was so impressed. The staff were helpful in every way possible and I couldn't have felt more welcome. The store was spotless and their clothing is beautiful and reasonably priced. I got 2 dresses that I love and have plans to come back soon. Me and my friend and our little ones had a wonderful time and blew any expectations we had out of the water. Update: I returned to Sweet home on the Lake for a second time on the August long weekend and the cafe section was very busy, BUT there was still plenty of seating available and despite being slammed everyone working in the cafe was calm, friendly, helpful, had a big smile on their faces and the food was DELICIOUS! I tried a few different drinks and sandwiches and cupcakes and sweets over the weekend and everything was perfect. The staff in the clothing store upstairs where super helpful as always and I was able to find a few more items that I loved. I don't live in the area but will be sure to visit anytime I'm close by! 10 STARS!

Fantastic coffee spot and so much more! They have a super cool, unique, local grocer section that carries produce and meats that taste great too! The shining jewel is still absolutely the coffee though. Had undoubtedly the best americano of my life there.
