A charming pie cafe with a sampling of sweet and savory pies as the name suggests the broccoli cheddar soup was also excellent. After our meal the owner surprised us by bringing out a chocolate pastry she wanted to test out and it was absolutely delightful, flaky with a warm chocolate filling and tart raspberry sauce. Yum yum yum.
If i could rate this place a 10 Star i would ! Was more than pleased when we came in and got a couple savory pies and the PERFECT strawberry and rhubarb pie. I will definitely be planning on purchasing these pies for all family gatherings. I found the quality to be impeccable but not only was the product 10/10, the customer service I received from the staff was amazing. The younger girl went above and beyond to help us pick out our pies no matter how long we took!
I come here every Thursday for lunch and it never lets me down! the best pastry I've ever had on a pie : also the owner made me a chicken and mushroom pie which isn't on the menu when i ordered a day in advance and literally will make any pie you want if you give her a day! 5 stars
OMG, just trying their savoury Country Chicken pie right now and it's so flavourful. Just the perfect balance. It tastes exactly what a home baked chicken pie should taste like. Also tried my coworker's Steak and Guinness pie, YUM. And on Pi Day, the owner had 100+ pies to make and she still made those two to order for us. THANK YOU! Will crave this again soooon!!
All pies looked runny and flat and we were hopeful for the savory ones and were very disappointed. It took half an hour to get the pies and some came without topping because they were still to be made. For the cost of their pie I'd expect at least a decent dish, but got a runny heavily rosemary over spiced pie that we ended up not being able to eat. Would have loved to support this small shop but if you specialize on only one thing, you gotta do it right!
Been here a few times so far and loved it! You can tell the owner loves her work and her pies are fantastic. The pie and a pint for $14 is the best deal on Hastings.
My cousin brought us a strawberry and rhubard pie from the Sweet and Savoury Pie Company. It was incredibly delicious. We would highly recommend and we will be going back soon to get another pie.
Delicious, high quality, homemade pie. I had a slice of a Mediterranean savory pie and it was fantastic. Staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere with games, etc. A fantastic addition to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood.
Went for a late lunch with my dad - both of us loved it!! Quiet and cozy atmosphere and great food. Especially loved the crust, the pastry is so flaky it almost melts in your mouth!
Amazing home made pies, the owner is awesome, so down to earth and very personable, than you very much for the amazing pies, definatley will come back again. More sooner than later, best steak and guiness pie, omg, have to try their chicken and leak.
