Great place for a casual meal. Breakfast is great. Lunch was great. Owner is a fun guy. Ask him to do little magic for you. Place is small but worth a wait to eat in a piece of history. If your looking for gourmet dinner you should try northwest steakhouse.

The place is rather small, but adds to the charm of the place. The people working there were entertaining and the food was good. Got the tenderloin and it was really good, there is a reason that's what they are known for.

You come here for the conversation as much as you do the food. Both are great. There are only about 10 stools and no restroom but don't let that stop you.

Read the reviews first, and everyone says its a good place to eat. I went with my family to eat breakfast at this place for my first time. Food was great, a bit pricey, however the ham looks like canned meat. The owner and waitress were friendly, and acknowledged us when my family and I came in. I felt that the staff were more comfortable talking to their usual customers, since they would rather ask how they were instead of us. My family sat in the corner and ate breakfast. The staff did not even mention if we wanted to scribble our signatures on the wall, nor even talked to us at all about the history of the diner since it's suppose to have a reputation of it being that great. The owner did not even do any magic tricks at all in my hopes of being able to see one. I felt the diner is a typical diner. When I left the restaurant, I looked at the floor where my family and I sat, and saw there was a piece of food next to the bar stool. The counters also felt grimy. I will think hard before coming here again.
