All you can east sushi, tasty, well done Min rice so your can enjoy the fish … family of 4. Now to the best part, the robot it is cute little cat. Don’t forget to touch the ear ; Yes, it is a total experience
Very tasty all-you-can-eat sushi for $35 per adult for dinner. My husband and I greatly enjoyed! We ordered Salmon & Avocado Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Sushi Island Special, shrimp tempura, eggplant teriyaki, seaweed salad, miso soup and wonton soup and more. All was delicious and fish was fresh. Food was brought out by a friendly and cute little robot & customer service was excellent. A very nice hole in the wall spot, and I would recommend especially as we all need to support our local businesses who were greatly impacted by the occupation & pandemic.
The sushi was so-so, the seafood wasn't very fresh but it was ok, and the kebabs were good especially with the teriyaki sauce. Tempura is also delicious, and the waiters are robots, which looks fun.
I really enjoyed my time here at sushi village! The food was incredible and have 0 complaints! The customer service was amazing and they had a robot cat delivering our orders. The salmon is so fresh and the spicy salmon had the perfect amount of spice and perfect salmon and rice ratio. The sashimi is to die for, the thickness and colour is something I’ve never seen before. Restaurant was quite clean and the prices are appropriate. One thing to note are that the tables aren’t super large so it may not accommodate larger groups of 8+ . I got a la carte and not all you can eat. - 1 roll of spicy salmon - 2 crab sushi - Salmon sashimi
The food is very good and it is an all you can eat. I love that there is a robotic cat that brings the food to your table. I recommend ordering the scallops, salmon roses, all the sashimi are delicious, don't forget the squid and shrimp skewers and also the dumplings.
I've walked by this place a million times and never gave it any thought. A friend suggested we go there. I had low expectations, which is odd, because a restaurant that has survived so long in Ottawa is doing something right. For approximately $33 you get all you can eat off the menu. And meals are delivered to most tables by an adorable robot cat device. It's a cute gimmick. I found the food decent, enjoyable. No complaints. The waitstaff that weren't robots were friendly enough. Robot cat was stupidly entertaining. If I had any complaints, it would be the customers. On a Saturday night, around 7 or 8, it was a young crowd. The axe body spray from the table next to us was strong. Many cystomers were doing the classic "waters only" and the all-you-can-eat. Come on, kids. That's not cool. One woman went to the washroom and took long enough that her friend went to check on her. "I thought I was going to throw up, I ate so much sushi," she said, walking by our table. Yeah, it's that kind of place. All-you-can-eat becomes a challenge for people to eat more than humanly possible. I had two beers and my companions each had 2 diet cokes. And I tipped well. We were super full when we left. No one from our table there up. Bonus.
Food was good, staff great, restaurant itself could do with updating but that isn’t important because CAT ROBOT FOOD DELIVERY!!! Cuteness overload, still recovering!!
Would not recommend. Service is horrendous, rude, and slow. The food is mediocre at best, unless you want to eat nigiri or rolls that are 90% rice or sashimi that is paper thin. We started with a few rolls and nigiri and discovered they weren't great. The rolls ended up being so stuffed with rice an obvious attempt to fill you up at low cost that we ended up leaving a lot of rice on the plate. The sashimi came out lukewarm and was super unappetizing. The cooked food was decent, but like the sushi, the tempura was coated in batter sooo heavily that you couldn't even see the shrimp inside. Because we didn't enjoy the majority of the food, a lot was left on the plates. Low and behold, our server complains to the floor manager about the leftover rice and it has the gall to come out and lecture us about the waste and a potential extra charge. This completely ruined an already bad experience. No extra charges were applied, but this was unacceptable behaviour from a restaurant. At least ask why the food wasn't enjoyable before jumping to the conclusion that we were trying to take advantage of an AYCE restaurant. Until they learn some basic customer service 101, would not recommend.
Sashimi wasn’t fresh. Teriyaki salmon was over cooked and dried to a crisp. There was no seafood in my friend’s seafood salad, just lettuce, carrots, cucumber soaked in dressing. The beef ribs were mostly fat and bone. Tempura was cold by the time it arrived. I started having diarrhea towards the end of the meal. My friend managed to hold off throwing up until she got home. Not to mention they’ve already added a 10% tip in the price so you have no option. Never eating here again.
I really enjoyed my visit to Sushi Village. You look at the menu to see what dishes are available. They all have a letter-number code that go to a paper order sheet. The wait staff will pick up the paper to action the order. They have a cute robot that delivers the food, but it's considered one of the delivery wait staff. The robot isn't the sole deliverer of the food. That's ok though. An experience to remember. The food was really delicious. Fresh ingredients. I'll be back for sure. Mmmmm. So full.
