As advertised. It's a quick and convenient place to fix a sushi craving. Prices are reasonable for sushi in this new high inflation world. Sushi was fresh and tasted pretty good. If you are looking for sit-down Japanese restaurant quality then you may be a bit disappointed, but overall this place is great and I'm happy to have it so close.
Quick, convenient, reasonably priced, and tasty sushi. I've already come back a 2nd and 3rd time! So happy to have a yummy sushi place nearby.
The sushi spot is convenient since its right off the skytrain. It was a bit pricey for what it is but it is a quick grab and go option if you’re craving sushi
Dropped by to grab a quick meal. Super clean, and service was efficient and on point. Got my food and got out. Convenient location if you are looking for a quick in and out. Food tasted good to boot.
5/5 Food Presentation 5/5 Cleanliness 3/5 Sushi Taste 3/5 Value Gave this spot a try while the wife stepped into Save-On. While they do have a wide variety of sushi, their selection for sushi combos trays is wanting. Ordered the Street Box #1, and it was well packaged/presented in a small pizza box. The location is spotless and brand new. One side has bar-counter style seating with high chairs, and the other has 4 tables with a long bench against wall. Staff was nice for our first visit, the chefs welcomed me aloud when I walked in. Unfortunately, we found the food taste to be just 'ok'. Have definitely tasted better at Sushi and Roll, or Izumo Sushi near by. The Wings were a little over-cooked, and they load up bland and plain Edamame as filler. The 'Special Sauces' were Hot Sauce, Chipotle Mayo, Honey Garlic, and Ranch. So nothing special here. It would be nice to see more sushi combos trays that don't compose of novelty filler veggies, sauces, and 'deep fried sushi'.
I was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Sushi Street for the Street Box #2. They were very accommodating with pick up date and time and when I arrived, it was already ready to go. The sushi was delicious and fresh tasting; everyone was impressed with the variety especially the 5 different sauces! Previous to this, I have ordered from Sushi Street several times and have tried a variety of their items and my experiences every time were good - fresh, quick, and very friendly customer service!
Edit: I feel so disappointed that I have to downgrade my initial 5 stars. I ordered the Yaki bento and although the portions were there the yakisoba was inedible, it was extremely bitter and I had to throw it away. I also requested no ginger and Wasabi in my sashimi and it was fully loaded with it. Really sad as I can see the consistency is not there : ............................................. Wow! I decided to give this new sushi place a try and I am blown away. I absolutely love the quality, quantity and presentation. The presentation is very nice and clean looking, it really shows the quality and care put into it and the quantity and size of the food is much more than other places and I appreciate that so much but the taste is what really makes it all worth it! The taste is amazing and especially the teriyaki beef, actual nice beef slices with sauce covering it and not paper thin sparse pieces its actually ment to feed you. The sashimi especially the salmon is not the same old orange cuts of same ok quality, big slices and actual thick white tasty lines in it. Overall I'd give this place a go! If the quality and quantity stays the same and is consistent with my first meal today I will only buy my sushi here from now on and I eat alot of sushi haha.
I ordered Inari Nigiri and they were fantastic. There is no doubt that I'm coming back some time soon. Really loved the place and the staff! <3 Edit: went a second time and ordered a vegetable udon and it was really good! :
My family's gotten takeout here several times and it's always been good for a quick lunch or dinner. It's centrally located less than a 5-min walk from King George skytrain station and is located in the King George Hub. The restaurant itself is small but very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. The street boxes are so much easier to carry around sushi sets in pizza boxes and make for a great picnic with less mess. Each meal has been consistent and it's now one of our favorite casual sushi spots for takeout.
Very clean and nice place. Super welcoming and polite staff. Minimalistic design, large windows, painted ceiling !. I saw so many places with ugly ceilings, so this one is such a relief to look up The food was really good. Tofu pockets are such an innovative idea! I've never seen that before, and it tastes like heaven! Classic salmon is my favourite one, spicy Salmon is also good, but just not exactly my cup of tea. Unagi with eel is also good. I loved the sushi box, it looks really good, but I think guys forgot to put wasabi and ginger. Or maybe I missed the button "add wasabi and ginger" on their web. Btw, the web is user friendly and photos of food are great. Washroom is also clean and wheelchair accessible, same as all place. And today on the grand opening they have a 20% discount on take out! Also orders are coming in eco bags, which is nice, you can use them after.
