Sushi Ocean

The redeeming quality of this restaurant was that the sashimi was pretty nice minus the fact that the pieces were cut kind of clunky. The rest of the food was pretty mediocre and the service wasn't great either. The sushi pieces had a ton of rice underneath and the rolls although better in their rice ratio weren't the prettiest and seemed to be lacking in flavour particularly the unagi. In terms of the service, it would have been nice if someone had come around to refill our tea or water. The server overall wasn't too friendly. Seems like this is better as a pick-up rather than a dine in location.

This place serves delicious sushi! They have a big variety of dishes to choose from, still we prefer to go with the all you can eat option. They bring the food to your table in a fair amount of time, the prices are very accesible and the staff has been friendly to us overall. Also, the washrooms have been clean every time we visited; The place is very well located as it is 5-8 minutes away from Eglinton West subway station.

Our take-out order was ready for us right on time, and the sushi was delicious!! Very well prepared, excellent flavours and combinations. We were really happy with our order and will definitely be back to Sushi Ocean.

Some of the other reviews are spot on. The food is mediocre. Not bad but not flavourful. Wasabi is very bland, have to put it on by the spoonfull. Maki is very small in size. Ordered their 24 piece maki combo and it is equivalent to most 9-12 piece portions. Rice felt wet/soggy. Pros: very quick take out. In, order, and out in under 10 minutes. Not awful but would explore sushi options elsewhere.

Overall quality of food was very mediocre and they use a-lot of rice. Peter did not give the best service either, too busy with his broom. I do recommend getting the ice cube rolls because thats the only fresh thing here.

So i decided to come here for dinner when i arrived the waitress asked me to sit anywhere the restaurant was not busy there was 2 other couple eating so i sat down waitress came over asked me if i was going to have the all u can eat i decided yes she then brought me the menu i placed my order sat 25 min no one even bothered to come over to the table i was so disappointed in this place i will definitely not be coming back i got up nd told the waitress that the service was disappointing so i left.. allso did not fine this place clean!!!

Decent food. The fish quality is acceptable. The service is average. Great value and menu is planned well. Casual atmosphere.

Very slow service, we never got our full order, and stuff is very unfriendly! Ginger smells like washroom cleaner. Not recommended.

Worst sushi I've had in Toronto. I actually put some in my pocket so I didn't have to eat it. Soggy seaweed wrap! And service didn't exist.

excellent food. excellent service. had a problem with online payment, and they immediately tried to fix it., with friendly customer care. Highly recommend.
