Love this place. Fresh, delicious food. Staff is friendly. I’m not from North York but from what I’ve seen so far they also have some much more reasonably priced options than other eateries in the area too.  It’s a small cozy nook and you can’t bring large groups, but they do make trays and you can do takeout or order with Uber Eats.  Edit: returned and have to add that their tempura yam-avocado roll is the best vegetarian roll I’ve ever had

Quaint little place behind a flower shop. Small board indicating that there is sushi inside. Went her for a quick lunch. Lovely service .  Miso soup and salad could be better ..  Loved the sushi here   Enjoyed the Spicy roll combo !!   Bento box was nice .. finaly got a bento box which is not too sweet !!   Happy place for a long conversation over sushi and Hot Tea ‍‍

Easily one of the best sushi restaurants in the neighbourhood! Freshness and consistency always surprises me since it’s behind/attached to a convenience store/flower shop. But thats actually part of what makes this place charming. It’s really small, intimate and quiet.. very comfortable. And the service is always extremely friendly.  The price i think is fair. I think the serving size are also quite fair. Again considering it’s always well prepared and tasty.  I’ll always go back here and recommend it to anyone in the neighbourhood.

The place is small and was a bit hard to find as it's at the back of a convenience store. The server was extremely friendly and the food was really good though! The quality of their sushi and sashimi was unexpectedly good. The reason for the -1 star was regrettably their washroom :. I like to eat sushi with my hand so I always look for washrooms before starting a meal, the restaurant is too small to have a washroom and therefore shares one with the convenience store. The washroom is downstairs and it's in this storage room/kitchen place, the place smelled a bit gross, it looked really run down and of course, was freezing. Their food and service are excellent though and I would definitely go back :

Best sushi in town! Especially their spicy salmon roll is outstanding!! Really fresh and tasty. Everything I've tried here so far was beyond my expectations. This is a small and cozy place you should try when you don't want to cook.

Very small place with big character.  We felt like we were in a mom and pop place in Tokyo!  Sushi and sashimi was fantastic.  Really fresh and big protein to rice ratio.  Prices are great too!

This place is hard to find, it's in the back of a convenience store oddly enough. Doesn't look impressive and is quite tiny inside. But. The sushi at this place is so good. The rolls are beautifully made, with impressive touches like the way they drizzle the sauce or the quality of ingredients they use. You know those cheap sushi places where everything just seems cheap and half assessment, unimpressive to look at and to taste? Well this place is the complete opposite. Absolutely delicious, esthetically pleasing, high quality in both assembly and ingredients. I will without be back!

Crosstown Zen Sushi is the best sushi on the block and there are about 10 - 20 sushi restaurants per resident up here on ‘the eglinton way’. When my wife and I moved in 5 years ago a friend pointed it out to us, we may have missed it as it’s a tiny hole-in-the-wall tucked in the back of a corner store, and we’ve been loyal customers ever since. Always friendly. Always great sushi. dining in it’s a little small and nothing fancy but the sushi and service make up for it.

How this place gets an average of 4.6 stars at the time of this review is beyond me. Sushi is average at best. None of the rolls were really better than average. Way better places to eat for the same price.

I love the food there! It's a small place but they are very polite and nice. Food is excellent. I have tried a few sushi places in the area and this is my favourite.
