Nice to know that they were open late per a friend's tip. The owners were super awesome and very pleasant when I came over this evening. Got the Tempura Salmon roll, salmon and escolar nigiri. They even gave me a hot cup of Miso soup. Def. will go there again.
I had specific details in my order that I had a seafood allergy and to package my roll separate but they packaged my food in the same order as my boyfriend who had ordered seafood. I called the restaurant simply to tell them they had made a mistake and to inform them in case they ever encountered another costumer with allergies because it could be life threatening. I get hives when I have food that’s been contaminated but with instruments such a dirty knifes which is a risk I’m willing to take especially when a restaurant tries their best. However, when packaged together directly touching seafood my throat closes and I could die. The lady on the phone was very rude and said she tried her best when they simply didn’t try to accommodate my allergy at all, then proceeded to hang up on me. Terrible costumer service and would not order from them again.
I really enjoy ordering from Sushi Go. The entire store is run by a woman and her husband and they usually staff one or two delivery people at night, so it's understandable that the service is not always immediate. Still, whenever I order for pickup my food is ready in a reasonable amount of time 20-30 minutes unless they are totally swamped with orders! The atmosphere is not fancy - but it's good sushi for a good price, and often times it's less busy than other sushi places in the area. You can't beat the value! If you want to order to-go this is a great option.
I would say I order delivery from Sushi Go about 1-2 times a month and I've never been disappointed. I'd recommend ordering their specialty rolls; the Spartan roll is my favorite. The price is average, maybe a tad overpriced depending on what you order, but I enjoy that they deliver and they typically include free miso soup when you order online :
So, I'd never eaten here before but I swung in because it was late and they were open and I wanted sushi. I was used to only getting sushi at this one place in my hometown, and when I've been in restaurants like these before they haven't been very friendly so I was honestly expecting an awkward experience. The minute I was through the door I was greeted. They were friendly, and talked me through ordering a little bit because I told them it was my first time. The lady at the register was really nice to commenting on the time of not, etc. I had to wait a little, but nothing unexpected. I got a tempura shrimp roll and was pleased to find there was also a miso soup in my container! It was about the price I expected 9$ and the sushi was really tasty! I will definitely eat there again!
Ordered sushi Go around 8pm, it was the first meal I had eaten all day, it was delivered quickly and tasted fine. But, I woke up the next morning feeling nauseous, Fast forward a few hours and every time I eat or drink it comes back up. This is along with a bad set of the chills and a headache. So yes, my mistake ordering delivery Sushi, because it gave me food poisoning.
I’ve ordered from this place for the past 5 years I’ve lived in EL and it has consistently remained my fav. I’ve tried every other sushi place and let me tell you for the money sushi go always gives you the most - no doubt. People get mad because their delivery sometimes takes a while but pls remember this is literally one couple running this business. The man preparing your sushi is quite often the one who actually drives it out to you. They always have online orders and sometimes they get backed up. They also almost always include complimentary miso with your delivery orders. They’re good people making good food for a reasonable price and I’ll always order from here before anywhere else.
Absolutely awful In every way imaginable. If I could give this place -5 stars I would because they truly deserve that honor. Incredibly rude and completely unprofessional older couple who yell at each other and at their customers constantly. Placed an order for pick-up and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. We came in the restaurant 40 minutes after we ordered and the food was not ready yet. Not a huge deal, so we asked the older gentleman how much longer it would take until our food was ready. We were interrupted mid-sentence by the older woman screaming “WAIT, YOU WAIT!”. She then informed us it would be another 40 minutes until our food would be ready with a standoffish attitude and commanded us to sit down and wait... We walked around outside for 10 minutes to kill time and because the last thing we wanted to do at this point was to sit in this miserable restaurant for any longer.... When our order was ready the older woman informed us by placing it on the counter and simply stated “here is your order, bye”. No thank you, no sorry for the wait, nothing. Just get out of my restaurant essentially. When we opened our food it was beyond mediocre. The shrimp tempura roll I ordered was $9 and it was absolutely nothing but rice and a teeny tiny piece of shrimp. I’ve had better sushi from grocery stores for half the price. My girlfriend ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl for $10 and she couldn’t even eat it because it was so disgusting.... I’m writing this review now from home actually because I’m laying in bed due to being sick from eating their sad and disgusting sushi.... So please, save yourself the time, money, energy and your digestive system by skipping sushi go. Although, I have to say that I’d rather be dealing with throwing up a couple times rather than having the displeasure of interacting with the staff ever again.
I had never eaten here before, and I decided to go with 3 of my friends to try it since I had heard good things. We walked in, and there was only one couple in there who already had their food and were seated at a table. The workers saw us, and we were then informed that “they were very busy and could not take any orders.” There was nobody there.? We were then forced to leave and go elsewhere. I have never experienced something so rude and I will not only never return, but I will tell other people to never go there as well. Absolutely unacceptable.
Worst place EVER! I walked in around 10:30 pm, I walked to the front counter and ask the lady if you could take my order, after another couple walked in, they set and then the lady started telling them to LEAVE if they were going to eat there. I mean it’s a restaurant that says they’re open until 1:00 am so why they treated them that way. The lady then asked me in this tone: WHAT DO YOU WANT? IS NOT SUSHI READY AND YOU HAVE TO WAIT 45 to 1:30 minutes for it!!!! And if I don’t like it just leave! I work as a waiter, and that’s by far a really rude way to tell a costumer we are busy!
