I don't know why it took me so long to visit this library but its actually really awesome. Visually inside is beautiful and inspiring.. I didn't give it 5 stars because it can be LOUD at times in comparison to other libraries and I feel the seating is quite limited considering how large Surrey is. If you arrive early you can get a good seat. Its still a great place to get some work done and see what's happening in the community. The staff is really friendly.
Beautiful library very spacious and well lit. Yet has a lot of books, meeting rooms & eating & study space. Loved it. It’s very open
One of my favorite places in the city.nnFloors of books and meeting rooms you can book.nnAlways have books for sale at discounted rates.
Wonderful building, not just the exterior but ambience and the lighting inside with enough seats, couches.nnUnderground PARKING IS FREE, we didn't know this and paid for parking as we made entrance through wrong lift. Getting into the building can be little confusing as the parking doesn't have enough sign boards.nnAmazing staff, they are really helpful and proactive in approach, I came looking for a book , they saw my baby with me and explained about the programs for infants and gave a welcome kit for her .nnGreat programs for all age groups.
Not my regular library. I visited this library yesterday to explore the fiction section while waiting for my daughter, who was attending an orientation session at City Hall. I was quite excited as I entered—it’s the largest and newest library in Surrey, with a modern vibe. However, the experience was far from what I expect at a library.nAt the end of one bookshelf, a boy around 18 or 19 was playing music loudly on his phone while sitting on a chair he had dragged over, completely blocking access to that section. I moved on, hoping for a quieter spot, but between two other shelves, a woman had placed two chairs facing each other, one for herself and one for her belongings and was doing something on her phone , again making the books in that entire two shelves inaccessible.nDisappointed with the lack of library etiquette and staff supervision, I gave up on browsing and just waited until my daughter’s session was done.nOver the course of my one-hour visit, I encountered several similar disruptions, which unfortunately left me with the impression that this library is not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet, respectful library experience.
