I had to move to Kingston at sort-of the last minute for work, and this place played a big role in putting it all together in a timely way. After calling around in search of the cheapest mattress options in town, it became clear that this was by far the best option. The next day, I swung by in my rental truck after unloading at the new place; I walked in, mentioned the phone call, and in less than five minutes the promised mattress was in the back of the truck and headed out of the parking lot. Amazingly fast and efficient, with knowledgeable, friendly, and funny staff. Highly recommended.

Great recovery from a bad situation for me with the staff at Surplus. I bought a dining set there and when I opened the box to put it together it was much darker than the set I saw in the store. James explained to me that it was a dye lot problem and asked Brian, the guy who puts the furniture together, to check in the back to see if there was a set that was the colour I was expecting. There was but there was a problem with the table top in that set. They ordered another set for me, called me when it came in and Brian delivered it to my house all put together so I would not have to do this. I originally talked to Shawn about the set and he was very accommodating and Andrea was a real pleasure to talk to the times that I was in the store waiting for the staff to check things out. Although I would not buy anything from the particular company that made the dining room set again, no matter what store it was in, Surplus is the first place I will go in the future if I am looking for something else.

I will never ever go to this store again, and I will be telling people my story my husband and I bought a lazy boy chair October 7 of this year and they told us it would be in within a week, so a week went by and no chair, 2 weeks went by and they said oh they forgot to put your chair on the delivery truck so a few more days. a few more days went by and it ended up being 2/12 weeks, and they said to us come get your money back. such poor retail service.and when I asked for the warehouse phone number they said they didn't have one for me too call wrong again. all warehouses have phone numbers I will make sure to find the head office phone number and report the terrible service we got

Though prices are good, quality is ok and never found anything we were looking for.

I bought my living room furniture their. They are very helpful and pretty reasonable but you get what you pay for.
